TRIAL 3
P R E S C H O O L
"I don't want!" Candace ran around the house when her father asked her to take a bath. Her mom's already in the bathroom, preparing the water and all the things that she will use.
Today is the day.
Today's her first day of school. She'd go to school as a pre-school student. She's turning six already and her parents decided to enroll her to a pre-school even though she knows how to read and write already, so when she's in 1st grade, she won't be having a hard time socializing with other kids.
Her emotionless expression, and dead eyes alarmed her parents. She never cried as a kid too, even when in pain. She was always calm and collected even though she's just a kid. She was sent to a psychiatrist but they found nothing, and she was suspected of alexithymia, and other than that Candace is normal, and her parents was just advised to give more time to her, and let her socialize with other kids so her expression would correspond to her emotions over time.
That's why she's going to school. Her parent's original plan was to send her to school at the age of seven but because of her condition, she was sent to a nursery home earlier.
"Come on, princess... you'll be late. Do you like that?" her father asked.
Umiling siya. "I like not to go to school and stay home!"
"Candace!" suway ng ama niya. Simula nang sabihin kay Candace na papasok siya sa school ay pambihirang Suyuan na ang nangyari sa kanila. Her parents took a day off dahil alam nilang ganito ang mangyayari.
"Ayokooooooo!" her voice started to sound different.
She fell on her knees but she ignored the pain and stood up immediately before her mom could get a hold of her. She ran, and went upstairs.
She locked her room, and she thought of success for about a minute when she heard the clinging sound of the keys.
"Candace!" her mom shouted.
"I don't wannnnnnnnt!" she squealed beneate the comforter.
"Anak—"
"I want to stay here!" she insisted again. "I don't like other kids! I don't like to go outside!" She shouted.
She's frustrated alright.
All she wanted was her parents but she was sent to nursery school. Hindi niya maintindihan.
Ayaw niyang mag-aral!
"Anak..." lumambing ang boses ng ina niya. "Come on..."
"I don't want, mommy! I said no..."
"You'll enjoy there. Maraming bata roon..." narinig niya ang boses ng ama.
"No!" she felt the comforter being taken away from her. She frowned and tried to get away from his father's hold but she failed.
