***TRIAL 6
JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
"Ano, kaya mo bang pumasok o hindi?" Candace asked Macey while she's in her room. She's checking on her bestfriend and there's nothing new to it. Since they were a kid—or rather since she met Macey along with Bryson, there are always about a week or two that Macey is missing, and her best friend won't tell her anything—but Macey would always comeback, wounded.
And Candace knew better.
It was her father she once saw. Hindi niya lang sinabi kay Macey pero nakita niya ang daddy nito. It resembles her so she knew it was Macey's father, dragging Macey not caring if Macey didn't want to come with him, and crying—almost begging. It's a child abuse.
"Oo! Magaling naman na ako, tsaka first day of classes bukas!" Macey nodded her head, focused on her laptop.
"San ka ba kasi galing?" She asked.
"Basta, nakauwi ako. Iyon ang mahalaga." Macey winked at her and giggled.
Hindi na niya mabilang kung ilang beses na siyang sumubok magtanong sa bestfriend niya, and yep, Macey is her best friend since that night they introduced themselves to each other, and of course, with Bryson and Arrow that became a pest in her lives permanently.
Macey is not a pest so she's exempted though Candace having a huge hard time in holding herself back to know about Macey's cause of wound, and bruises.
"Uwi na 'ko," Paalam niya at tumayo na. Macey stopped watching on her laptop and glanced at her before smiling sweetly.
"Bye! Ingat!" Macey waved her hand with her sweet smile. Napa-iling na lang siya at tumalikod na siya habang winawagayway ang kamay. Ni hindi man lang siya inihatid nang magaling na kaibigan kahit manlang sa gate ng bahay nila.
