━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━A SUCKER FOR CHEEZY
"BE careful!" Andrea warned her Alpha, who now was now carrying Isaac inside the old Hale house in a hurry. It wasn't that she didn't think that Derek wasn't strong enough—she knew he was. It was the fact that they were in so much hurry that it scared her.
"I can take care of Isaac," Derek replied, though he didn't sound angry at her, he was just assuring the girl. The Alpha seemed to know how worried the girl was, and he didn't complain.
Behind them was Scott, who had just gotten a call from Stiles.
"We've got a serious problem at school. Miss Blake's class—"
Scott stopped right at the front door, while his eyes were glued to Isaac who had been put down, "Hey, can you tell me about it later?"
"Well, no, pretty sure this qualifies for immediate discussion."
"Okay," the black haired boy sighed. "Then meet me at Derek's."
The boy on the other side of the line seemed confused, "Derek's house? What the hell are you doing at-"
"Just meet us here, okay?" and just like that, Scott hung up on his best friend.
He made his way closer to the rest of the group. Just in time to see Derek digging into the hole near the fireplace, looking for something. And Andrea standing on Isaac's right, holding his hand.
"You don't still live here, do you?" Scott questioned, spinning around to get a good look at the beat up house.
"No," Derek shook his head. "The county took it over. But there's something here that I need. It'll help heal a wound from an Alpha."
Scott furrowed his brows, seemingly confused, "Yeah, but it did heal."
"Not on the inside," Andrea replied, feeling pain coursing through her body as her veins starting to darkened, meaning she was starting to take away the boy's pain. "Derek, hurry up. He's not doing any better."
The Alpha glanced at the unconscious boy for a split second, before pulling out several wolfsbanes and laid them on the table next to Isaac. Andrea still hadn't let go of his hands, afraid that he'd go away again once she did.
By the time Derek finished treating Isaac and assuring Andrea that the curly haired boy was okay, Scott spoke up,"Hey, are you gonna tell me who that was back there? That Alpha?"
"A rival pack. It's my problem," Derek answered, sighing as he continued. "I know you want to help, and you did. I owe you one. Now, go home. Go back to being a teenager."
