━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━DOING NOTHING
ANDREA and Isaac rushed behind Derek, entering the loft in a hurry because of how worried they were. The couple watched as Derek laid down her little sister down, with the curly haired boy finally breaking the silence, "She's dying, isn't she?"
The Laurent girl's eyes traveled to Cora, who seemed to be in a much worse shape than she was before, she definitely wasn't getting better. Derek sighed, not taking his eyes off of Cora when answering Isaac's question, "I don't know."
"So what are you gonna do?" the Beta asked again, wanting guidance from his Alpha.
Though by the looks of it, Derek wasn't going to be much help to the Beta, because all he murmured was, "I don't know."
Isaac let out a shaky breath, scratching the back of his neck tensely, "Want to figure something out? Because while Scott and Stiles were out there, trying to help people from being killed, you were in here, rolling around the sheets with the actual killer!"
The girl could see how hurt Isaac was by the Alpha's answer, he was even more hurt when seeing how the man didn't answer. And for the first time since Andrea had seen him, Isaac broke down his walls of emotions.
"Do you get how many people she's killed?" Isaac asked, sounding even more frustrated as tears began to swell in his eyes. "Erica and Boyd are dead. Cora is dying. And you are doing nothing!"
Derek stayed still, not even moving his head around to see his Beta. While Andrea sat in the metal staircase, not being able to hold back her tears when seeing what was going on.
"Why'd you do this to us, Derek?" Isaac muttered quietly, his voice was barely heard. "Was it all about the power? Were you bored?" he moved closer to the man, whispering. "Were you lonely?"
That seemed to have struck something in Derek, because the Alpha finally whipped his head and replied, "Maybe."
Andrea couldn't believe what she was hearing from the Hale man's mouth. She considered him a brother, she considered him family. And to hear him say that about Isaac? About her? It hurt more than anyone could ever imagine.
Isaac began to make his way out of the room, covering his mouth in disbelief. While Andrea sat there, unsure if she wanted to come with him or stay with Derek. Her mind was still processing what her Alpha had just said.
"I told Cora I wouldn't leave," Derek muttered, sighing. "I'll help the others when I figure out how to help her—"
"There's no time!" Isaac snapped, his scream filling the air around them. "The full moon's coming. The Sheriff and Melissa are gonna be dead, so I'm gonna try and help them. You can sit here and perfect the art of doing nothing."
