The Dalek ship wobbled though the time vortex away from the battle. It was just like the hundred others in its fleet, all on their way back to their command station in the Andromeda Galaxy for repairs. Many of the ships were heavily damaged, covered in black craters and huge dents. Some were even missing one or more of the domes on the underside. They were the lucky ones, though. The Fifth Time Lord Battle Fleet had destroyed several hundred more before retreating. Or so it seemed. Not every TARDIS had actually left. The saucer commander did not think anything was amiss, however, until he noticed that the rest of the crew on the ship had quietly vanished. He was about to signal the rest of the fleet when Preda stabbed him with a plasma sword.

"That's all of them," the Warrior said, holding his own plasma sword. All around them, soldiers from the 5th Time Lord Battle Fleet had carefully killed all of the other Daleks on the flight deck.
The plasma sword was a ceremonial weapon that had not seen real use before the War in living memory. They had brought it back just for occasions like this, where they needed to kill the Daleks without destroying their control hardware.
Preda cut the dome off of the dead saucer commander, pulled the wires of the neural interface out of its brain, and rewired them into a control pad. As soon as it was connected, a program activated that continued to control the ship as if the crew were still alive.

While the fleet continued on its path to the station, the Warrior returned to his TARDIS in the outer hallways of the ship. He tried to analyze the signal that connected the ship with higher command, hoping for the possibility of finding the link to the Eye of Discord. No luck, but he expected as much. The main power feed came from the command station. There would probably be a secondary feed, but the rest of the signals were so heavily encrypted that even advanced Gallifreyan computers would take hundreds of years to decode them. They were still going to have to board the station, but now the Warrior's TARDIS and the three Battle TARDISes on board the saucer had the access codes for the station.

As the station drew near, Preda rigged the damaged saucer to self destruct. The Daleks would think it had succumbed to battle wounds, while the Time Lords would board the station and find the power feed from the Eye of Discord.

On board the station, the Supreme Dalek had been tipped off by the Cult of Skaro that the Dalek Eye of Harmony was threatened. While all Supreme Daleks had received the same warning, this one had a fleet returning from battle with the Great Exterminator, who usually left no survivors except in the biggest battles. This Supreme Dalek was sure that something was going to happen today.
