Carmen was getting impatient waiting for Lewis to arrive with Selena after she was discharged from the hospital but Mrs. Theresa the housekeeper tried her best to put her at ease.
"They will be here soon", Mrs. Theresa said while checking the time on her watch as she mentally calculated the interval from Toto's call when he informed her they had left and their arrival time.
"I know but I just really want to see the two of them like now", Carmen replied.
She had been hurt about the loss of their baby that would've been her first grandchild and was beside herself especially because she couldn't visit them in the hospital.
"They are here Carmen", exclaimed Mrs. Theresa as the gate to Lewis' house opened making Roscoe and Coco run out.
She waited by the door for them to come in just in case some paparazzi were lurking behind trees waiting to capture a shot of Lewis and Selena.
Lewis walked in with Selena and held her hospital bag while the others came in after but Carmen was quick to hug Selena tightly and started crying.
"I'm so sorry about everything dearest, I should have checked on you more frequently", she said to her.
"Please stop crying Carmen, you are going to make me cry too and I'm really tired of crying, it won't bring our boy back", she replied and started crying too.
They moved to take a seat in the living room while Lewis took the hospital bag upstairs. His mother had arranged the guest room for Selena since they were not together yet, but hoped that the pair would be able to mend things during their healing period.
Toto and the others were sat around the living room while Mrs. Theresa brought tea for Selena making small talk before he got up to speak.
"It will be good for you to go up and take a bath so you can relax and try to get some good sleep, I am indeed happy that you agreed to Lewis' suggestion of coming to his house because it will give both of you time to figure things out and hopefully resolve things. The Board Chairman Markus Schafer wants to see you and insists he needs to apologize for everything but I told him to give you time", he said to her.
"Thank you Toto, I am thankful to everyone for all what they have done to assist us", she replied tearfully.
Lando came over to hug her and told her everything was going to gradually get better and left after a while. Jeffery was due to fly back to the US at noon but had spoken to Lewis and Carmen about ways they can make their recovery faster before he left for the airport.
Toto stayed a bit and left with Carmen and Angela being the last guest around as she assisted Selena with getting ready for her power nap while Lewis showered and went to meet everyone in the room. She was dressed in light clothing and sitting on the bed with her head in her hands while Angela rubbed her back.
