The Formula 1 season had almost reached its climax and four races were left. Max Verstappen of Red Bull racing was ten points shy off both Charles and Lewis as they both crashed out in three consecutive races gifting Max and Lando points on the Driver's table.
Charles and Charlotte had gotten back together but she still remained unsure of Charles' commitment to her so she thought to have a discussion with Selena after the last concluded race in Mexico.

Selena was in her room packing her belongings into her box against her flight out to Sao Paolo the next day and looked round to see if she had finished before she prepared to go to bed but heard a knock on her door.
"Hi Selena", Charlotte said and she wondered what brought the other lady to her room and at that time of the night.
"Charlotte?", she exclaimed in shock.
"May I come in please?", she asked as she waited for Selena to give her an answer which she eventually did.
Charlotte had sat down on one of the single seats in Selena's room and wanted to get what had bothered her out of her head.
"I came to ask you some questions Selena and I will be glad if you can be honest with me", she said to her with pleading eyes.
Selena moved to take a sit opposite her and folded her arms over her chest, wondering if it was a good idea allowing her into her space.
"What is it you want to know Charlotte?", she asked avoiding her gaze.
"You know Charles and I have started dating again, but the thing is I'm not convinced he is over you", Charlotte said to her. "I'm a bit insecure, what exactly happened between the two of you when you were together?", she asked sternly.
'Why didn't you ask him Charlotte", Selena shot back.
"I didn't want him to think I was stuck in the past but it worries me, I love him deeply but I need to know how far the both of you went and know how to go about it", she answered.
"Charlotte, whatever happened between Charles and I was in the past and after you broke up with him, it shouldn't matter", Selena slowly said to him.
"I know it was in the past but I need to understand how far you guys went", she cried out.
"Look Charlotte, I had just lost a baby, I was broken and a mess, I had resumed work, Charles was always there, we had sex a couple of times and it fucked with our heads", Selena said to her.
"Did you love him", she further asked.
"I thought I did then, he was all I saw Charlotte, but I realized my heart belonged somewhere else and was able to draw the line, but I had already made the mistake of sleeping with him and as we speak Lewis and I have been separated for over four months, he broke up with me because he couldn't believe I slept with someone else even when we weren't together at the time, so I would say please just stick to Charles why I figure my life out", Selena sadly said.
