Chapter 12

Caterina

I took a quick shower to take my mind of going crazy in this house and by the time I came out I saw Luca in the kitchen putting away the groceries. "I bought us some clothes, and there's also some things you might need in there" he said point towards a big bag on the sofa.

"Are we staying here long?" I asked as I made my way looking through the bag "We don't know yet but I don't want to make any more trips if I don't have to, we should stay low for now" he said as I took some blouse, pants and even shorts that he picked for me, it was all the right sizes- how did he even know. I was about to ask him but I stopped when I saw what else he bought. I'm marrying this guy-wait what no Caterina!

I held up a box of tampons and pads this man bought me both because he didn't know which I wore, damn husband material I was in my thoughts and didn't realise Luca was looking at me, smiling.

"I didn't know buying that could make a girl that happy" he said smiling still making me hide away the tampons and pads under the clothes he got me. "W-What" I stuttered to which he just smiled as he took a sip from his cup. "You're smiling at it as if I bought you a ring" he said chuckling

"Oh, I- I- Well thank you, I didn't really bring any, nice of you think of that" I stuttered and mentally cursed myself for doing such thing. Before he could reply I heard a phone ring and realised that it was the phone he gave me from before and I left it in the room "I'll get it" I said making my way towards the room.

As soon as I reached the side table I saw Dmitri's name flashing on the screen and decided to pick it up before it could stop ringing. Before I could say anything I heard him speak "You need to leave that house now, Nikolai knows where you are- check Caterina again, there's trackers hidden either by object or in her find it and get rid of it before leaving" he said and hang up before I could say anything and honestly I didn't know what to say.

Why is papa tracking me? So, what if papa knows where I am? A tracker in me? What- My thoughts were cut off by "Caterina" and I stood there with the phone still on my ear as Luca walked in.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he took in my confused face. He stepped closer taking the phone away from my ear and he stared at me "Caterina" he asked again and when he got no answer from me he dialled someone again on his phone. What harm is there if papa knows where we are? I was in my thoughts and didn't realised Luca was already off the phone.

"What did he say?" he asked me which is then I realised that Dmitri didn't answer his call but I couldn't bring myself out of my thoughts to explain what I just heard. "Caterina" he held me by my shoulder making me look at him "I need to know what he said" he asked me more seriously.

"He said papa knows where we are and we need to leave the house now" as soon as I said that he moved faster than I could realise and started packing away things he just bought into a bag. I tried to help along with things but he was moving way too fast and I just stood there without getting in his way as he loaded his car from the back door.

I stopped him by holding his arm and he looked up at me if what Dmitri said was true "Check me" I said and he frowned at me "For trackers, check me for trackers" I said and his eyes lit up with understanding and he nodded pushing me back inside the house.

"Turn around" he told me which I followed and felt him step closer to my back. He ran his hands from one of my arms to the other then up my shoulder trying to feel around my skin if there's trackers in me for some reason I never knew if there was a possible way papa would have a tracker stitched in me.

Is it for safety? But the way Dmitri said it was as if papa is checking where I am, why would he do that when he clearly thinks I'm betraying him right now. Does he really think I would betray him?

I was in my thoughts and heard Luca "Fucking hell" he cursed as I felt him run his finger at my back below my neck. I tried to reach to feel for myself but I couldn't reach it as if it was put in a blind spot. "What" I turned around to find him fuming and I tried to reach around my back again but couldn't get to where he was touching.
