Chapter 16

Luca

I brought in all her things and placed it in Anna's guest room while I made my way towards my room that was on the end of the hallway. We had only 5 rooms here, 1 for our parents if they decide to visit, me and Dmitri take the other 2 rooms, the master is Anna's room being it her house she got the first pick so we had the spare which is where Caterina will be in.

As I got into my room I felt a phone ring from my pocket and found that it was Caterina's phone, T♡ flashed on the screen and I decided to pick it up again. Without saying anything I waited for her to say something but for some reason there was no respond, I checked to see if it was still on call which it was and placed the phone at my ear again waiting.

After a few seconds "Luca" I heard Valentina say making me a little surprise but still I didn't respond "I know it's you, and I need your help" she continued but softer. "I need my sister, the whole plan is upside down with you hiding her away, please" she said then waited for my response "I want to know everything first" I said and she took sometime before replying "I can't trust you" she said making me chuckle "What makes you think I will trust you".

She sighed "I worked for years trying to get her out, please just tell me where she is" Valentina said. "Work for what? Why do you want to get her out?" I asked and waited but she hung up after a few second of silence making me groan. What the fuck!

"Someone's not in the mood I guess" came a voice from my door and I turned to find Alex standing there drinking some juice. I tossed him the phone I was holding "Get Ivan to track the last call from here" I said assuming that Ivan came along with him.

"Ivan got caught in... traffic, he said he will be here in an hour or so" Alex replied making frown "Traffic?" I asked and Alex snickered "Yes a very pretty traffic that he couldn't take his eyes off, his words not mine" and that made me chuckle, Ivan had always been the popular one with girls and though the rest of us had our fair share, Ivan was way ahead of us in girls.

"Call him and get him here" as soon as I said that "I'm here, I'm here geez someone missed me" I heard Ivan's voice from the hallway. Alex tossed him the phone and he looked at it "Damn don't you have any taste in phones" he asked me.

"It's not mine dumb ass, just track the last damn call" I sighed as I sat down, finally on a nice soft bed. Ivan took out his laptop which he always has on him, actually no Ivan has any sort of gadgets on him at all time, just the way we sneak in weapons he has gadgets. He sat at the table that was in my room connecting the phone to his laptop. I let him do his work while I closed my eyes hearing him type away.

Few minutes later "Got it" he said and I leaned forward to see his screen "That's like an hour away right?" I asked looking at the map on the screen "It looks like some secluded house somewhere, or is it even a house?" he tried to zoom in but that was as much image as we could get. "Want me send someone over?" Alex asked me from where he was sitting near the bed.

I thought about it and forwarded the address to Dmitri saying 'Valentina's suspected last seen, just check up and if she is there bring her in, we need the whole story from her' I clicked send and tossed my phone on the bed "Get Igor to put up security here and make sure they have an eye on Caterina at all times" I said trying to form a backup plan if Valentina was not there.

"Aww there he goes again with Caterina, are you in love cousin" Ivan said in a teasing tone, I heard Alex snicker and before he could tease even more "Don't, just don't" I warned him and he laughed getting up from his seat "I'll go check up on your girlfriend, lover boy" he said as he walked out making me groan.

"Get out" I told Ivan and he touched his heard as if I punched him "You wound me cousin" he said and I kicked him in the shin "Ouch, idiot if you like her just admit it" he said teasing again and before I could smack him again he ran out chuckling.

I laid on my bed trying to figure out every possibility that could make Valentina do this but nothing was coming up right and it didn't make any sense. I sighed frustrated, in our daily life predicting and knowing possibilities of what could happen gives a head up but right now is something I cannot connect the dots.

I was in my thoughts when I heard a gunshot. I snapped out of my bed grabbing my gun out of my holster and ran out. "Anna!" I called out and heard another gunshot making my steps move even faster and before I knew it I was standing in the living room and what stood in front me was not what I was expecting at all.
