"That's i-impossible" I stuttered "Kira never told me about you" he said in a softer tone and my eyes started to water, not knowing why at all I was crying like an idiot. I mean there could be a lot of reasons why I should be crying right now, being first my real father standing in front of me, but nothing was making sense in my head.

"She married your father as soon as she found out she was pregnant" he said with a strained voice as he bent down picking up the paper I dropped. "I didn't know until after the marriage and she said it was Nikolai's so I didn't dig any further, I had no right to" he said sadly making my heart pinch.

"But looks like I had almost every right all along" he looked at the paternity report. "You knew my mother?" I found the voice in myself, he nodded "I knew Kira since we were kids, we started dating young almost way younger than you"

"Kira always wanted the big picture, I was nothing then" he chuckled "I had none of this, no power, no name, nothing which is why she agreed to the marriage with Nikolai who at the time his father was running the city"

"Not anymore" Alex said from across the room and Leon just waved him off "I didn't blame her though at the time, but right now I blame her with everything I have for hiding you from me" he said angrily

"We dated for many years until she met Nikolai and she wanted him, she picked him so I respected that and left" he said and I could see the sadness in his eyes "She didn't tell me she was pregnant with mine up until you both were born" and that made me snap my head up towards him "Both?" I ask.

He smiled at me softly again "Your birthday is on 3rd November 2000" he said and I stood there confused "So is Alex's" I stumbled a step back and felt a wall against behind me.

"She never told me she had twins, I took Alex the day he was born" he continued as he turned towards his desk pouring himself another drink "That was the last I met your mother, she told me she knew Alex was mine the second she looked at him" he took a big gulp from his glass

That means... mama was c-cheating on him? She didn't know whose child she was bearing because she was with both of them. God what in the world? Twins? Jesus Christ-

I turned to look towards Alex who still had his eyes on me "Why-y keep me, w-why didn't s-she give me to y-you" I stuttered as I try to find an inch of voice in myself.

He shook his head "I don't know, your mother always loved kids especially girls" he said and I turn to look at him, actually look at him. A father who never knew he had a daughter, he never knew I existed because mama kept me hidden all these years. That was not his fault.

"Arina-" I didn't know how to put the sentence together but he figured out "Long ago, I told your mother if we ever had kids the boy would be Alex, if it is a girl" he smiled at me "Arina" he continued. I looked everywhere but him trying to process every information.

"Thinking about it now how your parents kept you as far as possible from this world makes more sense now. At first I thought they were just protective but now I see why" he continued

"I had one of my men told me few years ago that word got out saying I have a daughter who is in hiding." he said before sighing "After your mother- after Kira got married, I basically was a boy going around with every girl in the city".

"I didn't know if it was Kira, or" he winced at the end as if he was embarrassed but I mean who would blame him, he thought he lost his child and also loss the girl he loved to someone else.

"I've been looking for you secretly, only few of my best men knows but looks like you were right in front of me all along" he was about to say something else but Luca spoke "How long you knew?" he asked.

Leon looked at him in question "How long you knew someone had your daughter and kept her hidden from you" Luca explained.

"About 5 years, we've been looking for 5 years" Leon said as he walked over to his bar grabbing another drink. I could use one of those right about now. "Who else knows about this whole mission" Luca asked and I heard a snicker behind Leon and turn to find Dmitri.

"Five people including me, well looks like it's out for everyone now and" Leon waved his hand towards others around the room before downing his drink "Victor included" he said pouring himself another drink and downing that too.

"No wonder we had no trace, Victor has been covering up every dust and track that was leading me to you" Leon said looking at me towards the end. "But why?' I found the courage in me to ask.

Why go through the trouble of killing me?

Just because I'm Leon's daughter as he says?

What's so big about me being Leon's daughter?

It's not like I can cause war or something now can I nor can I ruin papa's business?

Most importantly how could mama hide this from me?

"That's actually a very good question" Dmitri said stepping closer from where he was "Why go through all these 4 years of planning? To kill her? I mean no offense but what is it that her idiotic father and mine too by the way thinks they can accomplish by killing her" Dmitri put it out exactly the questions I had in my head.

I looked towards Leon waiting for an answer and he looked like he was in deep thoughts, he turned towards Alex for a few seconds before saying "She's the first of my generation, the first girl, the first Koroleva"

And that changed the entire room's aura like literally, you could feel within the silence of the room was so loud that there was something wrong. I turn to look at Tina who looked as much confused as I was but the rest of them in the room including Damon froze like actually, stone froze because not an inch of them were moving.

Are they even breathing? I thought as I turned to Luca who looked at me with an expression I couldn't figure out. "Is there something I'm missing?" Tina asked out loud making me agree with her too "Koroleva? What's that?" I asked.

Leon sighed "This is why you two have been hidden from our world, he did it on purpose. He started this whole plan after she turned 16 right?" the question was asked towards Damon who was rooted in his spot frozen but he nodded at the end.

"It's because he knows, the day she turned 16 was the day confirmed what she is" he finished and he took a seat in his big throne chair while I almost believed everyone in the room except me and Tina was frozen solid.

The things that were running in my head I could literally lay them on a pool table to read and worry about later but I can't do that now, I want all answers right this minute.

"A-And w-what am I?" I stuttered yet again making me mentally curse myself that I wasn't strong enough to speak up. Leon looked at me for a very long time, so long that I was about to question him again before he answered...
