it was a little awkward for the both of you, walking slowly, thinking of what to say nor saying anything.

you gulped down as you decided to break down the wall of silence, "you rea-"

you were interrupted by sakusa, "do you
enjoy-"

you both fell silent for what seemed like an eternity, waiting for the other to finish the sentence but instead stared at each other. it felt weird but somehow, familiar. like you've done this before, you've stared at him like this, like he wasn't sakusa but someone you could actually like, and just for a split second, you almost fell.

"please continue." he removed his eyes from you and you could tell he was blushing too, did he feel the same way?

a little piece of deja vu, a dream, a reoccurring of the past, seemed to play itself again right before your eyes. as if this has happened before. you just couldn't remember when.

"a-umm." you were out of words. you didn't even remember it anymore and you couldn't even care less. what you felt at the moment was much more perplexing than any of the puzzles. you didn't want to look away from him.

the moment his eyes met yours, again. this seemed to wake up something in you, you could feel yourself on fire, cheeks burning. you removed your eyes from the fear exploding or revealing too much with your eyes. you touched your left cheek to check the temperature as you faked a cough and looked at the sky, his eyes followed yours.

none of you dared say a word, the wall you tried to break down only doubled itself with awkwardness standing on top of it, dancing to its victory.

you could see his cheeks red but avoided looking at him as much as he avoided looking at you.

he cleared his throat, "let's go." and with that you felt the wall crumbling down taking the dancing awkwardness down with it.

you nodded, both of you avoiding eye contact, moving forward to the most uncomfortable lunch of your lives.
