THE MEETING WENT AMAZINGLY, but I also have bad news. The movie is being filmed in California." Timothée told Eve later that night over the phone. "But they want me, they think I would be a great fit for the role. I just feel so awful we talked about continuing seeing each other and then I'll be gone for three months."
"Timmy, it's okay." She replied, biting her lip as she people watched from her kitchen. In reality, she was devastated, she was looking forward to seeing how things progressed, but she also knew he would be the big shot in their relationship- she would be the accessory on his arm. "When does filming start?"
"In about two months, I've had the script for a month now and feel really good about this though, E." She could hear his smile. "But do you think you'd have the chance to maybe fly out to see me at least once?"
"Oh of course," Eve smiled to herself. "I will make sure of it, there's one big art show soon but other than that nothing too extreme I can't miss."
Timothée sighed, "You really are just always too good for me, I swear. Thank you."
"I try my hardest, and no need to thank me. It gives me a valid excuse to go to a state I've never been." She walked over to her couch and sat down. "I know this may be pushing it, but do you want to sleep over again tonight? Vanessa's gone and I want to spend as much time with you as possible before you head out."
"I'm so glad you said that, I was already walking your direction anyway. Want me to pick up some food?"
"Yes please, you're a lifesaver. Text me when you're on your way with food." She told him.
"Will do. I can't wait to see you again, Eve."
"I can't wait either, T." They hung up and Eve rubbed her face to wake herself up from the dream she was currently living. She couldn't believe herself and how lucky she was, she had to keep pinching herself to remind her that she was actually awake. This was her new reality.

Timothée showed up thirty minutes later with Mexican food and kissed her on the forehead again as a hello. "I got us a lot but don't feel like you have to eat everything, I just wanted options." He told her when she set down the two bags he brought in.
"Oh this smells wonderful." She sighed in delight when she started unpacking everything. Her entire kitchen island was covered with options, she had no idea where to start. Eve looked across the island to Timmy and their gaze met, "So, can I know about this movie? Or at least your role?"
He pursed his lips and furrowed his brow, then looked at her again with a mischievous glimmer in his eye, "Promise you won't spoil to anyone?"
"I promise." She started piling food onto her plate while he explained the premise.
"I'm going to be a lead role, which is really exciting because I haven't had too many opportunities for that yet, but in the movie my dad would be Steve Carell-"
Eve stopped in her tracks and interrupted Timmy, "Steve Carrell?"
He nodded slowly, "Yeah, why?"
She covered her mouth to try and muffle her loud squeal, "I love him, holy shit. Timmy, this is so big... I'm so excited for you!"
"Jesus, thank you, Eve." He came over and pulled her into a small hug, pecking her cheeks. He could tell her excitement for him was genuine, the kind that had no bad intentions and was just excited for his future and where this could take him. She came into his life hopefully at a very momentous start for his career, but he couldn't wait to see the future with her in it. Even with his acting future not exactly set in stone or know if things will last, the natural way she got excited for him made him think about the future... The future with her in it.
She looked up at him and swept some of his disheveled hair from his forehead and eyes, his eyes crinkling from his large smile. "Timmy, this is just the beginning for you. I know it."
"If it all goes smoothly."
"It will." She replied with a matter of fact tone. "Now let's eat our food before it gets cold."

The night was filled with binge watching Broadchurch, which Eve had wanted to watch for ages and convinced Timmy to start with her. They found themselves naturally moving closer to one another to the point where Timothée and her were cuddling on the couch, with her body almost on his lap and him holding her tightly.
He never had had this kind of instant spark with any of his past exes or flings, it always seemed more like a sexual thing or that they wanted to experience a relationship but didn't understand the complexities. Holding Eve and spending the past few days with her had felt like magic, and he just wanted more. The show had just finished the fourth episode and as he went to grab the remote to play the next episode, he realized she had fallen asleep on him. Her breathing had slowed down and she had her mouth slightly open, but he merely smiled. Adjusting himself, Timmy made sure she wasn't jostled around and made himself comfortable while he still held her, rubbing circles and hearts into her arms and back as she slept peacefully.
Timmy turned off the lamp above them, swallowing the room in darkness other than the tv's pale glow, and once he turned the television off it was only him and Eve now. "Goodnight, Eve." He whispered softly into her hair. He kissed her on the head and closed his eyes.
"G'night T." Her muffled and sleepy voice replied, squeezing him tighter. Going to California without her would be tough.
