WHEN EVE WOKE UP, SHE FELT STRONG arms wrapped around her and briefly opened her eyes, which looked straight at Timothée's chest. She was tightly held in his arms and could barely wiggle free without him grumbling in his sleep and complaining about not being comfortable without her. Once she had finally freed herself from his arms, she whispered to him, "You've been without me this long, buddy."
Slinking to the kitchen, she quietly made the two some breakfast and hummed to herself. She could not believe the amazing position she was currently in, and soon he would be off filming more movies and she would be hopefully moving up in her own industry. Eve crossed her fingers while she fried her eggs and hoped that her life continued being so good.
After about five minutes, the redhead had made them eggs and toast with tea, and now she just had to find a way to get Timothée out of her bed. When she came back to her room, Timmy was sitting up with his back to her, instead looking around at all her miscellaneous decorations. "I love what you've done with your place, have I told you that?" He said while he continued to look around. "You would be so disappointed in my sparse apartment."
"I really doubt that, but it would be fun to see your place."
Timmy nodded and finally turned to her with a grin, "Is that delicious food I smell for me too?"
"Right you are," Eve clapped him on the back and hoisted him out of her bed, then pulled him down the hall to where the food was waiting.
"Almost like deja vu," He whispered, a guilty smile playing on his face. "But if this is how life is with you I'm not leaving."
A blush crept onto her face and neck, but she just laughed softly and handed him his tea cup and plate. She turned on the tv and mindlessly watched the news while she ate her food, though she felt his careful gaze on her and felt his little nudge. The deja vu from their shared high school years from that one small nudge reminded her of all the times he would bother her in their shared classes for homework answers or to simply talk. She wished she hadn't missed that possible chance in high school to date him, all the years gone down the drain to where they are now.
Another nudge brought her back to earth, Timothée could see her glazed eyes blink again and let out a breath. She glanced over at him, "Yeah?"
"I just wanted to thank you for breakfast, Eve, that's all." He said softly. His voice was still slightly groggy and deep like his morning voice and Eve couldn't help but swoon over it. "It was really good."
"Thanks, T." She replied and took his empty place with hers and washed them while her thoughts ran in every direction. Eve was always one that overplans, overthinks, and makes sure everything will work out completely- though this situation with Timothée was nothing she had planned for- and surprisingly she was loving it. The only downside in her mind was the fact he would be gone for a short amount of time, she had to keep reminding herself as she cleaned off the scum that he would be back and he was putting in the same amount of effort as her. This was something completely new to Eve.
Eve took a few deep breaths when she finished cleaning her dishes and reminded herself she had a few more days with Timothée before he had to leave for California, these movies could be his big break. She was just scared of losing something she already felt so comfortable with, it felt so natural with Timothée as if there wasn't any lost time.
Before she could stop her train of thought, she felt his arms wrap around her waist as she continued to stare in the kitchen. "You alright, Eve?" He whispered into her shoulder, his voice sending shivers down her spine.
"Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about work plans and my art show."
"You've been really spacey since we ate, are you sure I'm not interfering by being here?" She looked down at his arms around her middle and smiled.
"No, I'm okay. I think I just need a shower to wake myself up still."
He let her go and looked down at her, a mischievous smile growing on his face, "Or, we could always go back to bed."
She contemplated that option, but didn't get to even say a response before he picked her up and carried her back to her bedroom, throwing her back onto the bed. She laid there and stared at him for a second as he quickly scanned over her laying in bed, "I would never complain about waking up to a view of this." He said to her, then laid down beside her.
Eve's blush became much more prominent, her cheeks burning as she met his eyes. He rested his head on her shoulder and sighed, "Can I bother you all the time when I'm in Cali?"
"If that means I can talk to Steve Carrell, then yes." Eve replied, playing with his hair.
"Deal." His muffled voice said quickly.
"T, when does Call Me By Your Name get released officially?" The redhead thought aloud, thinking about all the interviews and press things Timmy might have to do for that film.
"It's December right?" Timmy whispered into her shoulder and she nodded.
She adjusted herself and Timmy to check her phone, "December twelfth, to be exact."
He sat up and rubbed his face, "It comes out officially next month then." The moment he said that, she saw some of the color drain from his face. "Oh god, I didn't even think about all the traveling I'll have to do once that's out."
"Like what?" She sat up and placed her hand on his knee as he continued to rub his face anxiously.
Timmy stopped and sat there for a second while biting the inside of his cheek, "I'd have to ask my agent the complete details but I'm guessing I'll be gone more than I guessed for film festivals and press conferences."
Eve let out a dramatic sigh, "Oh, the struggles of being with an A list actor, he's just so busy."
He shoved her lightly, "I'm not an A list actor... yet!"
"When you talk to your agent about traveling, maybe put in a good word about me and see if I can come with." Eve said as a joke, hoping he would get it with her wink, but the boy took it seriously.
"If we don't act too couple-y, she might actually allow that." Timmy said, his features brightening and his eyes glowing as he grinned at her. "Maybe if you come and say it's also for an art work thing but you wanted to tag along as friends for moral support she'd allow that."
"Oh my god, really?" Eve giggled lightly, covering her mouth because she was so excited. She knew her work would probably love her to travel and make some notes on art pieces or meet new up and coming artists- if she found talented artists and was able to have a show for them at her job then she got commission as well as recognition. When she met Timmy's eyes, she squealed again because he unknowingly may have helped both of their careers. This could be the big break for her to become like him in her own world, as long as both her parties and his parties say yes to the idea. "That would be amazing if they say yes."
"I'll call her this week, okay?" He told Eve, pulling the girl into his lap and into a tight hug. He held her head and ran his fingers through her red hair, smoothing it and smiling to himself as he did so. "If she says yes to this, the only time I won't really see you much is the movie shoot then, and that's not awful."
She shook her head, "Not at all. This may work out perfectly for us."
"This is already perfect for me, Eve."
