IT WAS FINALLY THE DAY FOR TIMOTHÉE to leave Eve for California, his sister standing beside him with her arms full of bags. The past few days when Eve would get off work she would join the Chalamet's for dinner and then watch a movie, trying to watch some of the movies they believed would win at the Golden Globes. Eve and Pauline had gotten incredibly close, bonding over their love of art, reading, and the city. Their sense of humor was almost the same too, which made getting along extremely easy. Eve didn't want either one of them to leave yet, she would miss both of them so much, even if it would just be a few days. Thankfully, she would be able to watch the award show and Timmy promised that he would text her live updates with pictures or let her know who he met. Pauline promised that if his phone died, she would fill in and practically vlog it all for her. Eve thanked them both endlessly, trying not to cry as she continued to hug them. They would be leaving in forty minutes.
"I'll see you as soon as I'm back, I promise." Timmy whispered as he hugged her, his head resting on the top of her head.
"Good, you better." She joked. "I hope you have a good time."
Timmy smirked down at her, "Not half as much fun as if you were there."
"Hey, I'll be there!" Pauline hissed, smacking him in the arm.
He smacked her back, then let go of Eve with one last smile. "You better watch tonight," He told her.
"Of course I will!"
He nodded, squeezing her hands one last time. "We're gonna be boarding in a minute, so we gotta go."
"Okay," She sighed. "Have fun!"
They started to walk towards the gate, leaving Eve by herself. "I will, miss you already!"
"I'll miss Pauline more!" She exclaimed, earning a snort from Pauline and a, "Miss you more, babe!" from her.
Eve waved at them as they left her, and once they rounded a corner she began to walk back to the entrance of JFK. Vanessa was waiting for her in her small Chevy Spark, an understanding small smile on her face when she saw Eve's sad expression. "He'll be back in a few days."
"I know, I'm not so sad about that." Eve sighed, buckling herself in and banging her head against the back of the seat. "I'm more scared of what's going to happen when he's suddenly gaining millions of followers and more fan accounts-" the mere mention of fan accounts made Eve groan. "Like I've realized I like him where he is now, which sounds so selfish-"
Vanessa cut her off, shaking her head, "That's not selfish at all, is it because he's just yours right now that scares you for later on?"
Eve nodded, putting her head in her hands, "Yes, exactly. And that boy is so damn charming everyone's gonna love him like I love him."
"Don't forget he chose to start talking to you again," Vanessa said. "Hell, you guys are practically together without the label, so don't let it get to you."
"I think you're right," Eve pursed her lips. "I'm just so scared."
"Understandable, I think I'd explode if I was in your position." Vanessa laughed to herself, "I'm way too possessive over people I like so I don't know how you're even handling his small audience."
Eve giggled into her hands, "I think because I'm confident with myself at this point- like these fourteen year olds have nothing on me compared to the shit I would get in high school, ya know? So if his fandom is rude to me I just go 'BAH HAHA!'" She laughed and pointed straight ahead as if laughing at an instagram comment. "I think it's more like people will view me as not worthy of him or like he's this higher echelon and I'm this gremlin that somehow got with him."
