SAOIRSE AND EVE WANDERED THROUGH the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the actress surprised with how easily the knowledge of certain pieces came to the redhead. "I was an art history major, I know I can be insufferable." Eve said aloud after she droned on about Louise Bourgeois's spider exhibits.
"Oh, don't apologize to me." Saoirse said, playfully smacking Eve in the arm. "I love learning about this kind of stuff."
Eve grinned at Saoirse, showing the pamphlet about the exhibit, "I did one of my college papers on these spiders," She explained, then looked back at the spiders. "They're really cool even if you know nothing about them."
Saoirse snapped a few photos, including one where Eve stood beside one and gave the camera a big smile and two thumbs up. They continued through the museum while Eve complained quietly about how people take advantage of modern art. "Some people are truly modern artists, they create something new, and then there are others who splashed a red line on a Michael's canvas and demand $700. That's not art, that's not talent." Eve hissed to Saoirse under her breath as they entered Alexander Calder's exhibit. This exhibit was filled with his standing sculptures and Eve waved a hand towards the large black one named Trois disques. "See, this is art. This is trying."
"I get what you mean, some people who take advantage of the trends without any meaning behind their works." Saoirse replied, hands on her hips as Eve and herself circled the sculpture.
Eve nodded along, "You get it. It's embarrassing, especially when you're in this field and actually care." She waved her hand around as she talked. "It's like 'where's the depth? where's the life?'."
They continued through the exhibit, occasionally commenting on a piece or two, then finding their way to the next section. While they wandered, Eve felt people's eyes on the two of them and glanced over her shoulder, seeing a few teenage girls staring at her and Saoirse from the end of the hallway. Eve lifted her hand in a small wave, offering a tiny smile, and she heard one of the girls squeal. "What was that?" Saoirse whispered, looking back to where Eve's gaze landed. She noticed the girls as well, "Oh!"
The group of girls squealed when they caught Saoirse Ronan's attention, running over to say hello. Eve grinned the entire time, the group giggling widely as they asked Saoirse if they could get a photo with her, asking her a plethora of questions while Saoirse answered kindly. After a few more questions had been asked, one of the girls turned to Eve. "You're Timothée Chalamet's girlfriend, right?"
Eve pursed her lips, holding back a retort and smiled, "Yeah, I am. I'm Eve."
"You guys are like so cute," One of the girls giggled. "Anytime I see photos of you guys I'm so jealous, it's such a cute relationship."
"True," Their friend added. "Is he a good boyfriend?"
Saoirse and Eve let out a laugh in unison, Eve nodding to the girls though, "Yeah, he's a wonderful boyfriend. Like your ideal man, to be honest."
"You're so lucky," The other girl groaned. "I want a hot celebrity boyfriend too."
"Well, what I've noticed is the thing you genuinely want you can't actively search for all the time. Sometimes it has to come to you." Eve grinned at the teenage girls, who seemed pleased with her response. "Most of the things I have only wished for came to me after I stopped trying so desperately to get it. It's all about the timing, gals."
The girls nodded along and thanked Saoirse for the photos and Eve for the advice, running back down the hallway. Saoirse and Eve shared a look, "That was certainly something, huh?"

After a long day of exploring San Francisco with Saoirse, Eve flopped onto her bed back at the hotel and felt like she could sleep through the rest of the day. The hills had exhausted her, she was not as in shape as she had believed, and felt extremely sweaty once she entered their hotel room.
