A WEEK PASSED OF TIMMY BEING HOME consistently, meaning that the two tried to spend as much time as possible together. When Eve was off work at five, she would either go to his apartment or meet him at an antique store in the city, then they would get food or shop for his apartment together. He had found a few beautiful items and Eve had to admit he had a good eye for design, however, she had to make sure the whole place went together and wasn't an eyesore.
Now, the couple sat together at a sushi restaurant in the corner, far away from windows in case any possible paparazzi caught Timothée, his head resting in his hands as he watched Eve show him a powerpoint of the ideas for his apartment. He had to squint as she scrolled through on her phone, but he didn't complain because he enjoyed listening to her so much.
"So I'm thinking we do a little plaid moment," She told him as she zoomed into a chair she found for him online, a beautiful navy blue and green plaid squishy chair. "I think this would look so good with all the colors already going on it there, ya know?"
He simply nodded, popping sushi into his mouth whole she continued to talk, "Or do you want to stick to more neutral furniture? And make the accents be the pops of color?"
"I really have no preference," Timmy replied, smiling at her. "Maybe we put all the color options in the apartment and see which ones look best with the lighting and what all I bought already?"
"Ooh, okay, that's smart," She put her phone away and went back to eating sushi. She tapped his hand, "Don't you have a photoshoot this week?"
"Yeah tomorrow," He pulled his phone out and showed her some photos of possible outfits. Eve scrolled through the options, biting her cheek as she did so, thinking of how beautiful this clothing was. He would look so good in any of the garments, but she always felt some disconnect from the gorgeous clothing he had a chance to wear and portray himself compared to real life. She didn't even want to know the prices of the items once she saw the brands he'd be wearing. "What do you think?" He asked when he saw her concentrated face.
"You'll look beautiful," She said, handing him the phone back. "This is for GQ, right?"
Timmy nodded as he sipped his drink, "First big article since all these award shows and everything. It's a really big deal."
"Well, of course it is." Eve grinned, "And you'll look be amazing, as always."
Timothée ducked his head, whispering a quiet, "Thank you, Eve." He didn't want her to see the profuse blush creeping onto his cheeks.
She smiled to herself as she watched his floppy brunette curls bounce back into position as he looked at her, his green eyes shining in the mid-day light. She felt like she could never stop staring at him, he was beautiful whenever and wherever. "After this wanna go to the bookstore?" He asked as he popped another piece of sushi in his mouth.
"Oh for sure," She finished her plate of sushi, taking in the pure bliss of her life and day with Timmy. It always felt like a dream that one day she would wake up and snap out of it, but it hadn't happened yet. She had finally gotten ahold of her overthinking things so she didn't ruin moments with him, and now was just enjoying it all while she could. "I have a list of books I'm looking for right now."
"Me too," He fished his phone out of his pocket and pulled up the Goodreads app, making Eve snort. "What?" He asked, looking between his phone and her giggling.
"I've never met a guy with the Goodreads app," She gave him a toothy grin, "Or a Goodreads account, so I guess you really are a gem." He handed her his phone with a chuckle and she nodded at all of his choices, most of them fiction or classics, but there were two more political books she recognized. "You have such good taste."
