OLIVIA COULDN'T HELP BUT STARE AT THE PROMISE RING ON QUINN'S FINGER.  She knew she had no right to feel the way she did but that didn't change anything in the least.  But before there was any time to think about it she was suddenly nudged in the shoulder by Artie who whispered, "Stop staring Liv.  You look like your a planning a murder."

Rolling her eyes Olivia didn't have time to respond Rachel briskly walking in, "Mr. Schuester, I have an announcement. I've selected the perfect moving ballad for Finn and I to sing to launch our performance at Sectionals."

"Me first." Mr. Shue cut off earning a frown from Rachel, "Two things. First, our competition at Sectionals are your classic stool choirs. Great voices, but they don't move. Now if we're gonna beat them, we need to do what they can't. Dance. Which is why I've decided to feature Brittany and Mike Chang's sweet moves in our performance."

At this the glee club broke out into congratulatory cheers towards the two dancers, everyone but Rachel who scrunched her eyebrows, " Wait, they're gonna dance in front of me while I sing my solo?"

Silent for a second, Mr. Shue replied timidly, "You're not getting a solo for this competition Rachel."

Perking up, Mercedes straightened out of her seat exclaiming, "Finally! So what song do I get to sing?"

"I was thinking that we should let the lesser known voices shine this competition.  So I was hoping that Olivia and Sam would take the leads." Mr. Shue answered.

Almost falling out of her chair Olivia straightened up sharing a confused look with Sam.  Why wasn't it Sam and his girlfriend?  And apparently Quinn felt the same way slightly glaring at Olivia.

At her breaking point Rachel widened her eyes as if offended, "Ken and Barbie?! Wait a-a-are are you trying to throw this?"

"Cut the cackle Billy Crystal."  Olivia replied earning a laugh from Sam and another glare from Quinn, "And I'm not even blonde like Barbie."

Wanting to move on Mr. Shue continued, "Okay, listen, I have talked the talk about everyone in here feeling special for over a year now, but frankly I haven't walked the walk. I mean, we have got a lot of talent here, and I'm gonna highlight it."

While most of the teens nodded in approval Rachel simply nudged her boyfriend harshly whispering, "Do something!"

Quickly taking the initiative Finn reasoned, "Look, I'm all for... pumping up the team, making everyone feel special, but that's for practice. You don't take the star quarterback out before the big game."

"Easy to say when you're the star quarterback" Olivia said glad that Rachel and Finn weren't taking the spotlight.

"This isn't just about me, this is about the team." Finn defended Rachel nodding her head along earnestly.
