CHAPTER 17

Katy Hart dropped her daughter and her daughters best friend off at her apartment. The girls got out and said goodbye. Then Maya grabbed Riley's hand and ran her to Riley's window. They both got in with Riley's key and Maya took her all the way to Josh's room. She stopped.
  "Riley! Do you know the code to his laptop?"
   "No! Why?"
   "Uh! Ah ha!!" Maya went in his suitcase and looked to see if he had the note. There it was under his pants.
   "Maya do you seriously think Jo-" The code on the back of the note worked.
   "How did you know..? Nevermind. What exactly are you trying to show me?"
   "Look, it's the picture on his files under ReadThat.com. "
   "So your saying..?"
   "Yes! He went to my house to do who knows what! But, what I still don't understand is how he got pics of the school."
    "Mom and dad are gonna flip out when they find out!"
     "No! Don't tell them. It will only make matters worse. Don't you see! the more people who know the more drama there is!"
     "Sorry," Riley exclaimed.
    "Sorry Riley didn't mean to snap like that I just have had a hard time with this whole situation." Maya said plopping on the bed.
    "I know, it's been hard on all of us. And I have been going through something myself but you have been so busy hating me that you haven't even noticed."
     "I never hated you I just disliked you so much I wanted to strangle you." Both of the girls laughed and chopped off everything else.

        "So what was this struggle of yours?" Maya asked.

        "Well, you see after I figured out you and Lucas, you know...I felt alone. You never talked to me Lucas treated me as if I were a treat to you and well...look for yourself..." Riley pulled up her lond sleeve her black coat and it revealed cuts on Riley's arm.

        "Riley I am so sorry."

        "And it wasn't just that, I have also been getting cyber-bullied."

        "Really?By who?"

        "Mostly Missy and her friends. Billy and his friends too but the rest were just random people. It didn't start happeneing until that site that Uncle made. I just,..I want things to go back to the way they used be. When it was just me and you against the world. Why can't it be that way anymore?"

        "Laura was right!" Maya whispered to herself.

        "What?" Riley asked.

        "Nothing! Come on! We are going to confront Joshua! And fix our world!"

        "But Maya,he is goingto be in the temporary state jail for almost a week." 

        "We can still do visits though. Riley, don't you see the pain he's casued everyone. We're gonna get to the bottom of this. And figure out who took those pictures."

        Maya took her best friends hand and went out the window into the unsolved mystery of who took the pictures an dhow they got  in contact with Joshua Matthews.
