Maya stayed stunned by Lucas. Although Riley was committed to him liking her so she did everything she could for him to see they were meant for eachother.
"Lucas, come in. I just woke up from a nap." Riley said walking up to Lucas. Lucas walked in but stopped when he saw Joshua sitting on the couch.
"Yes? Am is it surprising to see a good looking guy sitting on your friend couch?" Joshua said.
"Josh...-" Riley said.
"It's okay Riley. I never said you were good looking. But yeah it is pretty weird. The only other guy these girls hang around is Farkle Minkus."
"Wait! Did you just say Minkus? He had a son.?"
"Apparently."
Maya walked up in-between the two boys.
" Lucas Friar meet Joshua Matthews, Joshua Matthews meet Lucas Friar."
Then she walked over to Riley.
"Riley, you never told me you had another brother?"
"That's because he's not brother. He is my uncle."
Lucas was surprised. He looked like a young boy.
"Riley you never told me you had a country Ranger Rick friend?" Josh said.
Maya and Riley looked at eachother and smiled. That was always Maya's Nick name for Lucas and only she called him that.
"Joshua and Lucas seem to be getting off on the wrong foot. I can't have my future husband fighting with my uncle. Help me!" Riley whined.
"Who said that Lucas would ever marry you. Let alone date you!" What Maya said came out wrong. It sounded like Riley wasn't good enough for Lucas. Riley just stared at Maya.
"You Maya, just because you have a rough life doesn't mean you have to make everyone else's rough too!" Riley ran up stares crying. Maya just wanted to run after her. But it would cause drama if she did. So she walked up to Lucas and told him that he should come back later. So Lucas left and Maya closed the door and signed. She sat next to Joshua and laid on his shoulder.
"I know!"
"You know what?" Maya asked Josh.
"I know what you and Riley were just talking about."
"Wow, you hear everything don't you?"
"Maya, I would never hurt you!"
"I know!"
"Okay just making sure."
"Okay.."
"Okay."
"I better take a shower. I am not a morning person so I take showers at night."
"Okay, I'll be down here waiting for Riley to come downstairs and make me go upstairs to take about our um....our, situation."
"Well, okay. I mean alright I'm gonna go now."
"Be fast. Mrs.Matthews hates it when people use up all of the hot water!"
"K."
Joshua went to take a shower. Maya stayed downstairs and had a nice glass of warm milk. Reading "A Woman's Affliction."
