Legend of Keys: Huntik's Adventure In Paradise

Part IV: Huntik

The Huntik academy students, who are now in their first year, were given a celebration. Apollon snatched up his admission letters and other paperwork. He looked around for his companions but couldn't find them in the throng.

Flora patted him on the shoulder from behind. "Master Ajax and Master Valerie want to speak with us," she added softly.

He pursues her down a side corridor and walks through a gap in the wall. Apollon didn't think twice and walks into a room. The spacious walls are hidden by stacks of grimoires. Artifacts are strategically placed to serve as ornamentation. An enormous round table was properly situated in the center, surrounded by lab tables that hugged the corner. Helios, Nile, Khione, Fauna, Flora sat next to her, and finally Lycaon sat at the table. Apollon chooses to sit next to him. He also spots a pale girl who appears out of nowhere. With his gaze, he must have passed her by. Her jet-black hair hid her face as she stood there.

Master Valerie and Ajax host a meeting about a secret team called Huntiks. A group that dated back a couple of years before the country of Paradise was ever founded.

Master Valerie goes into greater detail, saying, "Two witches and two warlocks were the only members who never changed. Sophie Saraswati, Zhalia Hermes, Dante Aries, and Lok Themis, our founding members, formed the first squad."She indicated the only four statues of mages dressed in extravagant togas.

With black paint, she created a sign on the table. Each statue emits white lights, which combine to form a memory blob that depicted the prior squads.

In a serious tone, Master Ajax said. "Huntik 78 will be given to as your team name. This team's goal is the same as the 77 teams before you. To locate the divine tree's 12 keys."

He takes out a drawing of 12 oddly shaped keys. "These missions offer high rewards but also pose significant risks and difficulties. Not every mage has this opportunity, and not every mage is capable of dealing with the danger ahead. An easy path to obtaining your dreams or an easy path to lose them. It is up to you and your guardians to make this decision. We'll leave now so you can shape your own destiny."

They both vanish into thin air.

Apollon considered it. The 12 divine
keys are one of Mythos' most prized
possessions. If he wanted to be a legendary seeker, he had to work hard.
He must be capable of dealing with
difficult conditions. He inquires of Lycaon. He, too, appeared conflicted.
"I'm not sure. I'd make good living, but high-risk missions are a problem. I have family that needs me."

They all went around discussing it.
Helios aspires to be a legendary
seeker in the same way as Apollon does. He's already decided to join. This prompted
Apollon to determine that he too must.
He didn't want to be overshadowed all of the time. If he wants to be Legendary.

They all went around and talked about it. Helios shares the same dream as Apollon of becoming a legendary seeker. He is already set on joining. This made Apollon decide he must, too. He felt can't be constantly overshadowed. If he wants to be legendary.

Nile makes the decision to become one as well. Because he want to be a powerful wizard. Everyone else was on the fence. The enigmatic girl spoke up. "Be aware of what you're putting yourself into." She kept her reasoning to herself. Her dark lustrous silk-like toga danced with her shadow as she was the first to step out.

Everyone decides to return to the party. The party members were forming a line to see Helios. He hurries out the door. Running with a smile that only served to conceal his displeasure of the crowd.

Apollon couldn't say the same for himself as everyone seems to gossip as he passed by. He couldn't help to feel no matter how close he was to Helios. There is always something that sets him apart.

Lycaon put his hand on his shoulder." Don't worry so much about others. We have time until the train comes. Let's just have fun."

Flora chuckles a bit." I wonder when Lycaon became the fun type."

Fauna defends him, trying not to laugh. "Give him a break. This is time he went out of his way to make a little friend outside the village." Well, she tried but failed to chuckle herself.

Lycaon says to ignore their jokes. Telling him to lighten up.

As they ride back onto the train. They stood there watching the petals and pollen blowing in the wind. A sign that spring had not yet arrived. The fields and buildings were strewn with flowers.

The train eventually came to a halt in the capital. Ueman boarded the train with a group of other lawmakers wearing all-white togas. Their bodies were swindled by their large white clothing. They are rulers of towns or cities, according to Apollon. Occasionally, a handful of them would pay us a visit. Always talking about politics as if it were a business. The discussion was solely focused on the decline rates of one of the main industries, mercenary firms.

Once they left to province Sofia. Apollon was able to talk Ueman about passing the exam. Also introducing him to his new friends. Which Ueman was proud to hear with his smile drawn wide upon his face. The trio was star struck. Ueman tries to calm them down and compliment them on dealing with a hand full. What he refers to Apollon. They all laugh. Apollon sighs and shakes his head." You always have to crack a joke on someone?"

Ueman laughs and pat his back." Cheer up grandson. You pass admissions. This calls for a celebration. "

The trio had to deny the offer as they have to rush home as their mother will be worried. They all said goodbye.
Knowing they'll see each other again tomorrow morning to catch the train.
