Chapter 5: face off with Zodiac

The 12 swordsmen arrived with 3 large caged boars. Albert announces their task " These are three aggressive hogs we are having for dinner, but you mages will slay them down. you go first early bird."

They open the cage and let a boar rampage at them. Kitsune says to get in formation. Kitsune and Helios move like a flicker of a flame severing its joints, forcing it to crash on the ground.

Khione sings a melody to soothe it down for its demise. Twilight draws a snake into the ground. " Earth cast: origami serpent"

A large snake formed from the ground beneath and begin strangling and constricting its body and chest. Then Nile sends a wild shock of electricity up the serpent " Lightning cast- wild shock." Quickly ending the boar.

Flora looked away feeling sick, and so did the rest of her team. They know it must be done, but something that's still saddens them. Master Albert applauds them. Complimenting their skill and speed it was done in.   It was now for the team tortoise. As the team passes each other both Apollon and Helio pass  each other with a  hostility. It was so great that others almost felt it in intensity.

When they got on the field Flora ask if they can just restrain the beast. Albert asks why. She responds," I don't have the heart to take down an innocent beast."

Marcus tells her in annoyance. " This isn't an innocent beast. These beasts destroy towns and people. Eating anything in its path and creating famines. "

Flora ask did it do that. Laoch Caturix Neit , the wielder of the sword of light, , tells the truth. " We've  captured some from an illegal traitor. As a reward for capturing those that got loose and not charging them. they allowed us to take some.

Albert sighs. " The only way I'll let this wild boar live is if you keep them as your own. Responsibility. If you can restrain the beasts. If not we will have extra meat for dinner.

 "How about all three of them?" Fauna Asks.

Marcus remarks that one has already been slain. Everyone was surprised that the first one got up. Plants from underneath it detached from the slits on its joints, Which has now been healed completely. Everyone looked at Flora. Flora laughs nervously. " I'm sorry I just couldn't see it die."

Apollon laughs and smiles. " I'm gotta admit. Seeing it slaughtered had me sick to my stomach."

Marcus gets irritated. " Being a warrior and a soldier means that you must be able to  take an enemy's life. I understand a priestess like you save a life, but the life you are to save is your comrades."

Albert yells at Marcus to calm down. " If you care for the lives of the boars then they are your responsibility. You have an hour to restrain all 3 or you will sit and see us slaughter them in a frenzied mess."

Lux takes a deep breath for the long work ahead " This is going to be a disaster."

They released all 3 of them. Lux Assigned the first one that's charging at them for himself. Fauna and Flora were assigned the one in a defensive position. Lycaon and Apollon are to get the third ones that is running away.

Lux created a light shield, " light magic- light shield", to defend against its tusk. Then he created a mana coat of light." Light magic- light coat". His body flickers Creating afterimages. Using mana to enhance his strength to easily overpowers the hog. Kicking and punching it around till it was unconscious.

Team Bird was amazed at such a quick show of power. Kitsune claps his hands." I don't expect anything less from one of the sons of our realm's leader."

Flora's and Fauna's hog was defensive and scared. Fauna slowly goes up to it and lay her hand on its forehead. Flora created some vegetation having it eat a snack. It calmly roll over for Fauna rubs it's belly.

Lycaon used his taser spell to send a shock wave of lightning through the ground. shocking and tripping the hog over. It went mad and decides to turn around and charge at them. They both dodge the attack. Apollon gave it a punch and Lycaon gave it a kick on its back both powered by mana. It did nothing to the hog as it covered itself with its mana coat. It counters by head-butting them both. Making them crash on the ground. They got up fine putting on their mana coat in defense. Apollon grabs Lycaon's hand. " There is one way to knock him out."

Lycaon nods. " I hope it does." They both remember their training. They remain behind on the field as everyone went in. Lycaon didn't like that the other team had a conversion spell." It'll be nice if they have one of their own." Apollon agrees but still asks how they would they make one. Lycaon says they could merge their spell lightning tazer and light victory to perform something new. Apollon smiles at the idea. "Ok" he put his hands out for Lycaon to grab. They spent the whole night practicing to fuse their spells.  Lycaon  was getting tired out faster than Apollon. . Apollon worries he might faint from exhaustion. " You sure you don't want to rest." Lycaon shook his head." Just one last one. I can feel we are close." They hold hands one more time. 

They send a similar flow of mana toward their hands. Creating a concentrated glow of super bright hot lightning in a fuse of yellow and blue bolts. A burst of lightning and light beams through surrounding them.

As of the present, they were ready to knock the hog down. They launch themselves forward as their hands held a concentrated bright bolt of electricity. They both yelled." Victory stream!!"

A large burst of light and electricity covered the beast. Hot winds blew everyone back except the team Tortoise at which Flora created a barrier around. Everyone felt slight burns and numbness caused by the electricity and heat that blew through the area. The hog was still breathing but lay flat in extremely terrible condition. Everyone looked at them in amazement. For two warlocks to create a spell that large and powerful. Albert could only say, " I guess this generation might outclass my own."
