Transition Chapter: Family Reunion

It was my mistake throwing you into such dangerous missions." Master Gale pauses and chuckles." It wasn't like the old days in paradise."

Fauna carelessly asks." How old are you anyways, geezer?" Flora scolds her and apologizes to Ajax for her rude question.

Master Ajax looks at them sternly." It's alright. I'm as old as that brat, you guys called Majesty Ueman."

Apollon answers. " 500 years."

Everyone gasped at the number. Except for Lux and Master Ajax

"He and I don't look a day over 25. Yet, we do feel it. Let's not fester my age." Master Ajax says.

Lux and Kitsune will become your mentors in battle. Their the only ones trustworthy and powerful enough to do so. Master Gale, though admitted they were their second choice. The two surviving members Phoenix Vulcan and Cordelia Oceanus Tiberinus of the previous Huntik Squad had other things to attend to. The next best thing is their relatives. Lux is the brother of Helio Huitzilopochtli Chronos, the former light user in Huntiks, and Kitsune, the son of the famous warrior Phoenix Vulcan.

Twighlight broke her silence again. Catching everyone's attention. " Who was the last member? "

Master Ajax responds with a smile. " Each time, I look at your careless face. You remind me of her, Lillith Circe Nött. She had the heart of gold but bound to no one."
Apollon interestingly founded her increasingly ominous. Each time she speaks more questions is made about her.

Master Gale moved on, claiming Lux will be the leader of the late tortoises, and Kitsune will be the leader of the early birds. Huntik Squad's cover hasn't been blown, but the blame will be now on the huntik Academy with a huge massive debt. That will only be resolved by taking down the Zodiac members.

Team tortoise's mission will be to take down the Zodiacs, and team birds will be the ones to claim all 12 keys. It will be done with the guidance of 2 great leaders.

Master Ajax dismisses himself to give them space to get acquainted. Lux drops his cool serious demeanor and rushes to embrace Apollon with a warm hug. " Well, nephew, you seem to have grown the last time I've seen you."

Apollon releases himself from his grip, taking a breath." The last time we met was on my birthday."

Lux laughs as he remembers the time. "Laughing, singing, gift opening, and casual arguments between me and the old man."

The rest of the squad greets him. Each one of them states their names and dreams. Lux grew a large smile on his face." Those are all beautiful aspirations, but don't say they are dreams if they come true."

Lux took out a scroll." There are several missions we have to do before the end of summer to gain experience. Once this year ends, We will then travel outside the realm to then begin our true mission. Any questions ?" No one had anything to say.

"Well then we can be dismissed. Wait, I forgot to introduced myself. I am Leader Lux, but call me Lux when we aren't on the job. I am a traveler and have done tons of dangerous missions. The three things I want from you guys are trust, loyalty, and most importantly, the mission is important, but lives come first. You got that?!"

He looked everyone in the eye to make sure they understood.  They all nodded. " You are now dismissed."

The rest of the day flew by fast. Apollon is home eating dinner with Ueman and Lux. It was a dinner of passive aggressive jokes passed around.Which was just a regular conversation between his Uncle Lux and Grandfather Ueman.

Lux played with his food. "when have you taken up cooking?"

Uemam responds." Since you ran away. I had to keep myself busy."

Lux scornfully laughs." Well looking down at whatever this is on our plates. It proves no one is good at everything."

Ueman smirks at him. " Of course, but your brother made that hard to believe. There was nothing he couldn't overcome. "

Ueman eats up the last of his meal. " By the way it's mixed roasted meats."

Apollon couldn't take the bickering amd rush up the stairs to go to bed early.

Ueman blames Lux for him leaving, but Lux scoffs, " why would he sit with a man who stole his memories? "

Ueman silenced himself and got up to clean his dish. " I know I haven't been the best member of this family, but I try my best."

Lux let the room cool down in its silence. " the best thing you could of done for him was to help him grieve, not take away his pain. He needed someone to be there... You have a tendency to not be there... always quick with thoughtless solutions."

Ueman set the plate to dry. " Your room hasn't been touched in years. Your welcome to sleep over anytime. " He said with guilt in his voice.

As the night sets, Apollon toss and turns drenched in sweat. He rises up from his bed, and tries to slow his breath. He tries to not wake anyone up. He felt someone is watching him. A dark shadowed is seen through the corner of his eye. He looked built and average in stature.

The mystery man whispers. " Bolt Flare" a ball of electrical flaring appears revealing Lux face.

He gave Apollon some water to drink. "have you ever been to a shrine, not the medical kind."

Apollon shook his head. Lux rubs Apollon's soft curly hair to comfort him. " I'll show you once I have time. It'll feel nice to go to a shrine once or twice in your life. It'll help."
Apollon accepts his offer, and heads back to sleep.
