Lux vs Scorpio

On the broad, wide tree branches, Lux and Scorpio were facing each other while standing. Lux had the grim countenance of a man who has just met his illegitimate friend. "What are you doing right now, Dante?"

Scorpio slashes at him with his sword. "Trying to keep the planet from destroying itself. in order to ensure a new period of peace."

Scorpio and Lux sprint across the forest swinging their swords at one another.Lux experienced memories of their initial encounter as a result. When they were in a battle class at the Huntik academy 30 years ago. While everyone else has a partner to spar with, Lux approached Dante alone. Dante argues he was fine, but Lux reminds him that they must have a partner.

Dante swings his sword, but Lux deflects it with ease. They oscillate back and forth, balancing one another out.

Dante added gasoline to the fire by saying, "You're good, but not as good as your brother."

Lux smiles sarcastically. He crouches down and swings his blade into the air. Scorpio had the quickness to leap back and pivot to the left. He swings his sword down, but Lux deflects it and is unharmed.

Lux tries to go around everyone as he is doing right now in the woods. due to the same factor that slows Dante's movement and attacks. Back then, it worked a lot better.

Suddenly
Lux soon lost sight of him. He looks to the sky and bright shining lights appear  " Star magic- Mixcoatliuetska sitlalmimeh (Mixcoatl's falling star arrows)"

Thousands of bright arrows come raining down.  An attack from above similar to what Lux did in their first sparing match. Fast enough to get out of sight of Dante and strike down with his wooden sword, enhanced with his mana, ending the fight.

This time it will be Dante with a level 5 spell.  Suddenly a flaming Pheonix comes swooping in and devours all the arrows and burns down some of the trees as it flies above. Lux looks up to see his father, leader Cordelia, and Pheonix, the one who he suspects cast the spell, fighting together from above.

" You truly like working with others. You sure damn well have help on standby. " Dante mocks.

Lux couldn't stop reminiscing about the days they were on missions together.

" says the one who has favor from his god. " lux pours light mana into his sword.

" Give up Lux. You have dreamt too long. Nothing goes as planned in this cursed world. We lived long enough to realize that. Wherever there are victors, the vanquish lies beneath someone's feet. This world without the divines has led us to chaos as our souls crave peace. Get out of my way and let me help ensure a new era. "

Lux shook his head and he clashes his sword with his. " We almost have peace. There has been less war than ever before."

Lux sword was so bright and hot. This caused Scorpio to lose some grip and coordination.

" Tell me why we still spill blood and exploit to keep such peace. If we can even call it peace" Scorpio says madly as jumps back onto a tree.

Lux couldn't say anything. " Peace needs work. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices for peace."

Scorpio laughs. " Then I guess we are both willing to sacrifice two different things for peace. You are so privileged. You had a normal upper-class family life, come from a powerful lineage, and live in comfort. You don't care about sacrifices as long as you weren't the one sacrifice. You even left your daughters to not sacrifice your life as an adventurer. For what are you fighting for? You only want peace when it's comfortable. You've done worse than I did. You are a selfish man who stays in a status quo. Who does things for one's benefit."

Lux turn it around on him. " And what about you? You left your son in the hands of the foster parent. Neglecting him to do what, to fuel your hero complex ?"

" You know damn well why I had to leave him. If I would've stayed I would only attract danger.  your situation and mines are not the same. You can call me a monster all you want, but I'm not a heartless fool like you Lux. Blood style- blood bullet "  Scorpio cut his fingers and send pressurized hard blood at him. Lux created a light mana coat boosting his speed.  Dodging every attack. As Lux gets close to a final slash.  Dante teleports out of sight appearing behind him. Lux jumps high into the branches only suffering from a scratch on his arm from one of the daggers he swiped at him. He felt a tad bit of poison running through. A bit stronger than he remembers his poison was,  but he was immune. " I can't take any more cuts or I'll go down."

Dante teleports in across the branches picking up a dagger he left there. " You can't stop this lux. A new era has come. "

"I'm sorry but it ends here. I'll stop you even if it means death. I promise to bring you back." Lux  clashes with him

Dante performs some hand signs. " It's time for me to stop playing games and claim victory. Blood style- Scorpio." The number tattoo turns into a scorpion-shaped outline and glows bright red. A  large amount of blood manifests and forms into an extremely large red scorpion with a hardened thick-plated exoskeleton and a long flexible stinger that was sharp as a spear. It has 8 claw-like legs that pierce the ground.

Lux moves fast out of the way of the striking stinger and watches out for the daggers thrown by Dante. As the battle carried on lux started to feel overwhelmed. From the fast poisonous strikes of the Scorpion and the swift teleporting attacks of Dante. Lux couldn't handle them both, so he is pushed to even more drastic measures. He felt weakened from the poison that seep in from the scratches caused by their attacks. He quickly cast hand signs, and his birthmark on the right side of his chest transform into the figure of the god Huitziloptchi, A warrior dressed in feathers armed with a snake-headed spear called an atlatl. " Light style- Huitzilopochitlakamiktilistli" (Huitzilopochtli Massacre)

His body is covered in super bright and hot light mana. He created an Atlal, a throwing spear, made of purely light mana.  The scorpion goes in for another attack, but Lux throws his atlatl piercing the tail down onto the ground. The spear burns the skin creating a terrible Wroten smell. 

Dante teleports to attack Lux from behind, but Lux kicked him back in time. He spins his sharp atlatl three times, slicing off the scorpion's legs with incredible power and speed. After that, lunge at the scorpion's head to finish it out. He then turned to face Dante, who was now doused in scorpion blood. transforming into a strong armor with two sharp linked daggers in each hand and razor-plated shoulders. The scenery is completely destroyed by both of them as they fight, whipping the trees and bushes with heavy blows. Lux could match Dante's teleportation speed head-to-head thanks to his spell. Though his chained daggers created distance it made it difficult to strike. Lux had to finish this right away. His muscles were being torn apart and his body was being burned by the spell. He directs his gaze at Dante, recalling their previous encounter in a field with swords drawn. Lux appeared worn down and unclean. Dante was fixated on him. "Why not give up? Everyone you've ever met was abandoned by you. Even your kids, so why the hell do you follow me?

I want to keep you from hurting yourself. Only you have ever truly understood who I am. Not in anyone's shadow, at all. You recognized me in my radiance. If I'm unable to save you. How am I going to rescue anybody? You want to be stopped, I know that. You're curious if ther's a better way.

The only option, Lux, is this. Either follow me or get out of my path. If not, I sometimes have to let go of something in order to defend something else. We might share that trait, it seems. The only distinction is that I'm letting go of both of you and this world.

Like before, they shout a battle cry and sprint for one another. Flashes of memory film pass through their thoughts as they get closer. Stopping as they finally strike each other.

Dante misses only a gash on the side of Lux. Lux's spear went through his chest burning. " You of all people know that the underside of scorpions is the weakest." The blood armor fell into a puddle of blood and the light spear dissipates.  Dante look directly in his eyes in defeat" You win...You win Lux."

Dante drops onto the pool of blood. Lux spell wore off with his body all scorched up. His muscles felt torn, hot, and weak. He couldn't help but drop towards the floor in the pool of blood with his body facing a different direction than his.
