Part III: Twins From the Forest

The Forest always go through changes

Flora and Fauna went to the city of Victory. They tagged along one of their younger 7 year old brother, Hunter Paricia Mixcoatl. A blood color red head with the deepest of light blue eyes. He always had a sharp pocket knife on hand.

Fauna finally agree to his constant request to tag him along to the civil soldier station in the city of Victory.
They wore cloaks to not bring too much attention to themselves.

When they arrived there was tons of soldiers and sailors rushing through the streets. Restaurants and stores bustling with new customers, and  boats in bad condition are pulled in.

Five drunk sailors ran from three knocked out civil soldiers called patrollers. Another civilian soldier runs after them. Dressed in a hard armored attire and cape signaling he was an enforcer. He took out his sword In rage. His body was like a leaf in the fast wind. Knocking down every one of them with one waving strike and slash.

Hunter eyes scream of excitement. He reach for his dagger in his pouch but Fauna stops him. " you shouldn't just pick a fight with everyone you see. Plus he's an enforcer way out of our league. "

They kept walking with their heads down. Flora went across the street to volunteer at a sanctuary (hospital). Fauna and Hunter promise to meet up there. When they are finished.

Fauna and Hunter cautiously open the doors. The soldier Gerald caught them with his eye. Signaling to follow him towards the back door. They were soon led to a large practice room that looked like a large sand box. The other soldiers she met on her first mission were here sparing, clashing their swords. Gerald says that they've been training since the fight against the Zodiacs. Some soldiers were able to rise amongst the ranks to become enforcers. Which excited Hunter for a challenge.

Gerald asks them why they wanted to train with soldiers so bad since there isn't a need for children in the battle field anymore.

Fauna answer," I know what it's like to be at the hands of war and disaster. I want to become the strongest mercenary.  To fight against those who work to tear away peace. "

Hunter response was simple. He always wanted to be a hero, a beast hunter.

Gerald was proud to hear it " Well your in the right place. Choose anyone to spar with. If anything happens, there is a sanctuary across here and priestesses on standby."

Fauna and Hunter wanted to challenge him. He was flattered and took the offer. He pulls out a black box, and formed it into a spear with his mana. " I got this at the sailor's black market. It's a black box rumored to travel all over the Earth realm. Made with stone only found in the land of lava that borders it. It's as sought after as the divine keys. If you are able to take me down. I'll give it to you Fauna. For you Hunter I got marked daggers."

Fauna took out her two sword and Hunter already held some throwing knives. Both rushing forward in sync

Hunter throw some knives at Gerald to get him off balance as Fauna strikes him. Using her left sword to attack and right sword to counter. She was able to knock his sword of his hand but she was flown back from a powerful strike of his shield.

Hunter thrown his knives to prevent Gerald from grabbing his sword. Then he dives down with kick. Gerald counter with his shield and strikes with a punch. Which Hunter ducks and sweep his feet. He finally put his knee on his chest, and a knife on his throat. " where is my daggers?"

Gerald got himself up and brush off the dirt." For a little kid. You fight with so much experience. You deserve the daggers." He gives a box of marked daggers with instructive scrolls.
