CHAPTER 1

I knew Luis' plan had a high risk of failing. I saw the loophole and was figuring out how to resolve that myself. I always knew that Luis was an incompetent, egoistic piece of sh*t. Sa isip ko, mas deserving ako na mag-head ng team na ito. 

"What do we do now, Luis?" Tanong ng isang kasamahan namin.

"I'm thinking."

"Well, think faster!"

"I know what to do." Sabi ko. Umalis na ako kahit na pinigilan ako ng team lead namin na si Luis.

I stood on a beam and aimed  my  gun and shot at the two men who were our targets. Mabilis na kumalat ang mga tauhan ng mga ito kaya napilitan ang mga kasamahan ko na umatake na rin pabalik.

We safely got the artifact we were saving from the syndicate but Luis was not particularly happy with me. Well, the feeling was f*cking mutual. For sure he already told our boss all about my insubordination.

As expected, we were immediately summoned in our HQ in the US.

"What's the fuss? We got the artifact. Only bad men died. What, is this because your plan actually didn't work and my plan did?" Nag-uuyam na sabi ko kay Luis.

"Is it really just the recognition you're after?" Tanong nito.

"It's high time I get promoted. Look what happened, you can't seem to do your f*cking job. You only had one job. Plan. That includes strategizing. Do you f*cking know that?"

Nanonood lamang sa kanila si Winter, ang boss nila. 

TrackPoint Security Services is just a front for the thing that we are doing. Our team specializes in retrieving rare items sold in the black market, intercepting hostages, and all those things the government cannot handle in front of the eyes of the people. We are an underground organization consisting of highly trained fighters. 

Tumingin si Luis kay Winter. "How can we work in a team if the members don't even respect their leaders."

"Men and their ego. Can't accept that a woman was actually able to do the job?" Sabi ko habang iniikot ang mata ko.

Tumayo si Winter. "Luis is right, Patch. Even if the mission was successful, you should still follow the orders of your superiors. I will need to suspend you on the next missions indefinitely."

Napatayo ako. "What the f*ck? Really? Just because of this? C'mon Winter. I didn't expect you to fall for this crybaby."

"Really, Patch. I enforce the organization's rules strictly for your safety as well. We don't want any trouble starting within your groups. You might have had a better plan but you should have aligned it to the person leading you. A team works together. We don't work alone and see who comes out best."

I exhaled. I am furious! Ang hirap naman mabuhay na puro lalaki ang namumuno sa mga bagay-bagay.

I gave Luis a death glare which he reciprocated with a smirk. Kala mo naman nanalo na ang gago.

Damn this bastard, piece of sh*t!

"What the hell am I to do on suspension?"

Winter smiled. Pinaalis muna nito si Luis bago sinabi. "To address your issues on following simple rules, I will assign you a very important mission."

"I thought I'm on suspension?"

"It's unlike the missions you usually go to."

"What is it?"
