Chinn is in her third week of therapy and she is almost back to normal. Magagaling ang mga therapists nito at pursigido rin naman si Chinn na bumalik sa dati. Her hair is slowly starting to grow. She loves wearing a bonnet na hindi naman iba dito aa Baguio.

I just cooked tinola when she finished her therapy that day.

Dahan-dahan itong naglakad sa kusina. "I...smell...food."

Lumapit ako rito at binuhat ito. Kinandong ko ito nang maupo kami sa dining table.

"I...can...sit...on...a...chair."

"But...my lap is a better seat for you. Let me pamper you before you get your strength back."

"Ba...ka...ma...bi...gat...a...ko."

She still makes me smile whenever she speaks in Filipino. She sounds cute because her accent is still there. She understands most of the sentences kaya naman tinuturuan ko pa ito ng mga bago pa.

"You're light as a feather. Kain ka pa tulad ng dati."

"I'll...get...there."

Hinaplos ko ang pisngi nito. "I know you will. And I will be with you."

"Thank...you..."

Dahan-dahan ko itong sinubuan ng pagkain. She has started to increase her meal intake which is good. Looks like I have to prepare tons of food soon.


After eating, binalik ko si Chinn sa living room habang naglilinis ako ng kusina. After washing the dishes, tinabihan ko ito sa sofa.

"Do you want to go up and wash up for bed?"

"I...na...an...tok...ka...na...?"

Umiling ako. "You might be."

Her hand went up to caress my cheek. "You'll...work?"

I smiled. I usually work when I put her to bed. Marami lang talagang trabaho at hindi talaga nauubos. Lalo na ngayon. I thought she's sleeping already.

"Were you watching me?"

She nodded. "Are...you...working...late...be...cause...of...me...?"

Hinalikan ko ito sa noo at hinaplos ang buhok nito. "I'm working late because I have lots of work to do. That's all."

"You...need...to...sleep...longer...er..."

"I'm fine, Pachyderm."

Binuhat ko na ito paakyat. She started washing herself on her own now kaya naman hinayaan ko na ito. I was reading my emails on my tablet nang sumampa na ito sa kama.

"Sleep...na...tayo..."

I looked at my tablet then back at her. I turned off my tablet before fixing the comforter and settled in.

Magkaharap kaming natutulog. She wants to hold my hand before she sleeps. Kapag nagising naman ito ay nakayakap na ito agad sa akin.

I am living the dream.

"Where are you going?"

I was drying my hair with a towel when I saw her tying up her running shoes. Two months later, she was back in good condition. She can start exercising again. Lagi na nga itong nasa gym ni Winter ulit. 

"Jogging. Nakaligo ka naman na. Hindi mo ako sasamahan?"

"I have an early meeting baby."
