Finally, the ball came to an end. Of course, there's an after party somewhere but I just want to go home. Too much interaction for a day.

Kylo seemed to feel the same so we went home after. I danced with a couple of Kylo's friends which included my boss. They all basically asked me how we became together. Kylo and I knew the drill so our cover won't be exposed.

"Uhm, I want to give you something."

I stopped myself from stepping on the first step of the stairs. Kylo was smiling at me.

"Don't tell me that's a bouquet or box of chocolates?"

"It's not."

I waited for him to come closer. He wasn't holding a bouquet and chocolates. He was holding a rectangular wooden box.

"Open it."

The box felt a bit heavy on my hand. I slowly opened the box and it revealed a beautiful dagger. I know a good one when I see one.

Nilabas ko iyon sa kahon at sinipat iyon ng mas malapitan. It was a bit similar with the one I currently have. Just a tad bit longer. Napatigil ako nang makita ang nakaukit sa hawakan. It was an elephant.

"The elephant is one of my favorite pachyderms."

Hindi ko alam kung gaano ko katagal tinitigan iyon bago ko ibinalik sa kahon.

"This is beautiful, Kylo."

"Did you like it?"

I nodded. Bakit ko ba itatago pa? I'm here to savor everything. And nobody ever gave me a dagger as a gift. Nobody ever gave me a gift like this. Winter gives incentives more than a gift.

"Thanks." I was beaming inside!

"I'm glad you liked it."

Then there was an awkward silence between us.

"Do you...want to go up?" Tanong ko.

He looked at me like I grew three heads.

"I mean it's late. We should sleep."

He nodded. "Of course."

Pumanhik na kaming dalawa at dumiretso na sa mga kwarto namin. I sat on my bed and looked at the dagger again. I smiled. He knew me. He knew what to give me.

Ibinaba ko iyon nang makarinig ng katok sa pinto ko. Who else will it be right? Dadalawa lang naman kami sa bahay.

I left the dagger on the table before opening the door. Kylo was there. His necktie was loosened up and a few buttons of his shirt are open.

"Kylo..."

"I...forgot something."

Sinara ko ang pinto at hinarap ito. "What is it?"

"This."

He pulled my head for deep kiss. Napakapit ako sa mga balikat nito. Isinandal ako nito sa dingding na nakapagitan sa mga pinto ng kuwarto namin.

"Kylo..." I whispered when he finally let go of my lips.

"Chinn."

Napatingin ako rito. "How did you..."

"Patricia Chinn. I prefer Chinn over Patch now."

I didn't want to ruin the moment because of my name so when he kissed me again, I put my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.
