Bastard No More

     Blessed be to all.

    Today I got a call from a hysterical sounding Cash. She begged me to go over to talk to Daenarick. Apparently he was upset at something according to her and couldn't be approached.

  I'd planned on taking the day off and spending with Semaj, but I felt I should go to my sun. Cash called again, and Semaj told her to come over so Daenarick and I could be alone. Before I left, Semaj told me to be careful and try to listen to him. It was obvious she knew something I didn't.

   When I got to their apartment, Daenarick let me in. I'd brought along a nice sack of  fire midgrade for us to roll a few blunts, then I'd leave him the rest. We sat down and I asked him what was troubling him.

   Daenarick said he and Cash had been arguing nonstop since the night before. She was upset about finding out Daenarick was still involved with his friend from work. Apparently the girl sent Cash  a message about him going down on her. Cash immediately threatened the girl and Daenarick. He told me somehow Semaj's name came up and Cash made a lot of accusations. He said he told her to keep Semaj out of it and that made her even more mad.

   I listened closely to my sun as he coughed and coughed, his voice sounding more and more like mine. He told me Semaj was like a second mother to him, a better mother than Shantrelle had been, and although he felt bad for what happened he still couldn't not think of it and his actions. He said he didn't know if Cash understood all that. Cash is a few years older than my sun and he said he forgets he's still a teen sometimes bcuz of all the shit they've been getting into.

   He revealed that he was indeed messing around with some other girls bcuz Cash been picking fights. It hurt me when he said she threw my name up to him. I don't like that shit, and I know he doesn't like that shit either. Cash had no business trying to hurt him like that, after he'd told her how shit like that fucked with him in the past.

    When I told Daenarick that Semaj asked Cash over he said he hoped she didn't get besides herself and try Semaj. I asked if he wanted to call her and check on her. Cash answered and told him she was going by her mother's house then she'd be home. He said aww shit. She getting her nosey ass momma involved. He went on to tell me how he's been paying not only their bills, but her momma's phone as well. Apparently Cash had bought her a phone for her birthday and she let the service go and was in need of her bill being paid, so she went to Daenarick and asked him if he thought he could foot her bill for a few more months, knowing they got a baby on the way.

   I told him about giving him the house on Dearborne. He asked me what if Cash's momma and them try to rule the place and move in. He said she would do something like that. He says they always team up against him when they're arguing, but always running to him with their palms out when they need something.
I told him I'd put the house in his name of course. He asked me not to make any big decisions yet. He said the way Cash been acting is driving him crazy and away.

   He finally told me some things I'd figured out for myself, and was only waiting on confirmation. The both of them have been moving pills for a while, and Cash seems to be caught up with an old running mate. Daenarick said she blatantly lied about the guy to his face, so that's why he started hooking up with other girls, but he says he hasn't fucked all of them. He wanted a life with her and their daughter. He said he doesn't know what's going on or what's going to happen when she's born. Cash has been complaining as well. I told him not to ever worry bcuz I had him and my grandbaby off top. He doesn't need to be doing this shit.

   Of course, like most of this younger generation, he swears he's got this and knows what he's doing. I need this shit to stop tho. I told him to think about his baby. Anything go happen to either one of them getting locked up...smh. Daenarick told me he would do better...frst he has to decide what he's going to do about his pregnant girlfriend.
