The other two traipsed in looking excited at the prospect of going out and doing something different. "Guys?" Jackson spoke up, giving them a worried once over. "I'm going to be rude, but I'll be honest, you should all really change. I wouldn't even hang out with you guys at a swanky bar, let alone a train station." he watched as they scowled at him.
"Gee thanks, my confidence went sky rocketing off the charts and away from me." Tilly grumbled, throwing herself on the couch.
"Well, I don't see you doing anything about it?" Hector said morosely, watching as a smile crept over Jackson's face.
"I've got it!" Jackson snapped his fingers at the three of them. "Come on, we'll get all of you refitted and out to the right bar. I'll pay, what do you say?" Jackson was excited by the idea. It meant that he could spend the evening with Raymond and make him happy at the same time. "I'll pay for it." he reminded them as the three just looked at each other. "Right," he took out his phone and realized that he didn't exactly know who to call. Turning to Raymond, he smiled sheepishly holding out his phone.
Rolling his eyes, Raymond reached for his own. "Don't forget to tell them you want the usual Dealer service." Jackson whispered in Raymond's ear, holding him from behind, not caring that Tilly and Hector was in the same room.
Shall we take my car?" Hector offered, now in better spirits.
"No." Jackson said with a shiver. "The driver can bring the limo. I don't think we've actually used it?" he frowned over at Raymond. "Anyway, let's go." He pulled Raymond out of the door with him, the others following like a gaggle of excited teenagers on a night out.
Jackson pulled out all the stops to make the night special for Raymond, which started with a quick spa treatment, while drinking champagne with frozen berries. It was heaven for Raymond and the others to go through all the steps to getting ready, while being spoilt. Then came the clothes. It seemed never ending and finally Raymond gave up and let Jackson choose his clothes. This is a very weird situation where Jackson is picking out his clothes, Raymond mused. When they were all cleaned up, dressed and ready, they got back into the limo.
"Mate, I smell rich!" Hector said in awe, looking over at Tilly who had also been transformed. Jackson had only eyes for Raymond, who looked really cute in his preppy outfit. Sophisticated and relaxed at the same time.
They got out at an upmarket bar, where there was a low hum over conversation. People minding their own business posing, flirting, or hanging out talking about their yolo lives spread all over facepage. Cocky self assured bastards, Raymond thought.
Everything went well and they were just starting to enjoy themselves after a cocktail. Then they were served their canapés and red wine, while they perched around a table so high, they may as well have left the chairs, because you were standing anyway. Apparently class came with discomfort. No wonder their faces looked so pinched, probably because their asses have to clench the stools so hard to prevent them from slipping.
Tilly lifted a piece of brioche to her mouth, sniffing it suspiciously. Taking a bite, she chewed for a while, before she swallowed hard and coughed. "That's not right. That's not food. Try this," she shoved a platter in Hector's hand. He gave it a quick sniff and shoved it back at her.
"That's god damn liver!" he pulled a face at the smell. "God no wonder everybody is so thin here. One bite and you puke your guts out!" He looked just as bemused at the food in front of them. Half the time he didn't know what you were supposed to eat. But whatever it was that he tasted, he never wanted to experience it again. "What the fuck is that?" he pointed to the plate again.
Raymond laughed at their faces. "See, that's why I never eat the parties that we go to." he told Jackson, who was trying not to laugh at their reactions. Jackson ordered the best red wine they had, looking forward to hearing what they will say when they taste real wine, not the slop that they usually guzzle down.
"Oh my god! What is this shit?!" Tilly heaved, looking in horror at the rich colored wine in her hand.
""Yeah, that's just wrong mate." Hector was sniffing his drink suspiciously after seeing Tilly's reaction, then looking over at Raymond.
"Hey, don't look at me, I know how gross those things are, why do you think I never drink at Jackson's parties." Raymond defended himself. "I just thought it would be fun if we tried to go to a bar like grown ups, that's all. Apparently, it's not for us." He grinned at the other two. Turning to Jackson, he reached for his hand.
"What do you say to beer and wings?" bringing Jackson's hand to his mouth, Raymond left a few kisses over it, causing Jackson to immediately pull him closer.
"You know you're not alone, don't you?" Tilly grinned at Raymond, winking. "Come on Hector, let's go and do what sensible people do, sit in a bar and drink beer. Who would ever want to grow up and be posh like this." she suppressed a shiver as they left the bar.
Wings and Beer!" The three shouted as they stepped onto the sidewalk. Jackson could only laugh at how stupid Raymond was being. He really hadn't changed that much. He was still that goofy kid with the cute smile that could light up his miserable day.
