"What are you doing?" I asked the guy who was hovering over me. I think my vision come back a few seconds ago, but my entire body felt numb. I couldn't even remember what happened, I just knew that this jerk was on top of me. I nudged him back and covered myself in embarrassment. "Pervert!"

"It's not what it looks like!" He snapped at me. "You were unconscious and I just pulled a bunch of crap off of you."

"Yeah right! You just wanted a free show!"

"Don't get ahead of yourself." He snorted. "I have better standards than to look at someone like you." He looked past me and stood up slowly. "I should've left you in the hallway." He grumbled.

I couldn't believe it. It was obvious there was no limit to his disrespect. I was ready to throw a large number of insults his way, but he looked too focused on something to pay any mind. What in the world was he looking at?

"We have to go outside to see if anyone needs help. This earthquake could've trapped someone else." I took a step towards the hole in the wall, but he yanked me back.

"You can't!" He hissed.

"What?" I blinked at him. "Are you that selfish you can't even go out to offer help to the other students?"

"There's something out there." He frowned at me and brought me over the Boulder that sat in the middle of the room. "It came out of this thing, and it doesn't look like it's friendly. We have to wait here."

"Did you lose a few brain cells when we were knocked aside? Are you sick in the head?" I poked his forehead. "Maybe it was your first time experiencing an earthquake."

"I'm serious!" He snapped. "Explain this." He pointed to the boulder and gestured towards the gap inside.

"I'm not sure where the rock came from, but what you're saying is making less sense than the fact this thing came flying in out of nowhere. What are you talking about?" I snorted. He was hallucinating, probably still in shock from the impact. "I'm going outside."

"If you get hurt I'm not coming to save your arse." He growled.

"You won't have to. If you don't want to help anyone else just say so, don't lie." I snapped back and walked over to the hole, but something flashed past me just before I could take a step out.

In my peripheral, I saw a large THING charging towards me. I didn't know what it was, but it was terrifying. I screamed and raced back into the classroom and the guy grabbed my arm and pulled me over to hide behind the boulder.

"What was that!?—"

"Shush!" He slapped his hand over my mouth and pulled me closer. There was a loud growl inching closer to us. I felt my heart pound harder when the creature sloshed past the rock we were behind. It was horrendous.

It was large and covered in spikes and left a trail of slime as it moved. It had claws the length of a machete and the width of kitchen knives. The jerk was right, it wasn't friendly.

The creature made its way back over to the hole which lead outside, and left after it couldn't find us. The man nudged me away and removed his hand from my mouth.

"WHAT WAS THAT THING!?" I cried.

"I don't know."

"Is it going to attack the other students?!"

"I don't know."

"What are we going to do!?"

"I don't know!"

"You're not helping!" I whined and grabbed my head with both hands. This guy was making me even more anxious about what was going to happen. "How do we get out of here? We have to call the police! Firefighters! THE ARMY!"
