I didn't know where I was. All that surrounded me were white walls and floor. What exactly happened? Where did everyone go?
I walked around briefly and stopped in the center of the room. Images of the creatures appeared on the walls, and it made me jump. Although they were still, they looked so real, like they could attack me at any moment.
I heard footsteps. But they weren't mine. The footsteps were light and cranky. I turned around as the sound got closer and noticed a tall woman with long black hair and blue glowing eyes. She had abnormally pale skin, and it didn't make her look human.
She stopped in front of me and smirked. "I've been looking for you."
I looked around to see who she was talking to. I didn't know who this woman was, so it was obvious it wasn't me she was talking to, right? "Are you talking to me?" I asked her. Lord, this was so awkward.
She woman turned and walked over to my left. "Your banishment has been uplifted, and you are still running away. Wreaking havoc."
"Banishment? Running away?" I blinked at her. She must've had the wrong person. I don't remember running away from anything except those creatures. "Ma'am, I don't mean to offend you, but I have no idea what you're talking about."
"If you refuse to take the throne now, all those around you will be punished." The woman continued. "I'll make sure of it. Stop playing around and come back to what you were assigned."
The woman turned back to face me and raised her arm. She reached up and pressed her index finger against my forehead, and pushed me. I flew back and tried to catch myself. "WOAH!" I gasped, and suddenly my surroundings changed. It felt like I glitched into a completely different environment.
I caught myself before I fell. I couldn't believe that woman just pushed me! She put her hands on me!
"You keep testing me." I heard a soft voice grumble. I turned around and saw a little girl, no older than the age of 6, by a pond of water and reading a book. She looked like a younger version of the woman, but she had gray eyes and medium-length brown hair. Her skin was pale as well.
Now I was really confused. Was she talking to me too?
"You act like you're right about everything." The little girl stood up and grabbed her book before walking towards me.
"What?" I frowned at her. "Me??"
"Just you wait." She said, and I saw a creature appear behind her. It raised its arms to hurt her. I gasped and jogged at her to push her out of its way, but the little girl disappeared suddenly. The creature came at me instead, and there was nothing I could do.
I screamed.

I woke up out of my slumber screaming bloody murder. James hopped up and grabbed onto both of my shoulders as I sat up.
"Riley!" I heard James call, but I couldn't understand what was happening or where I was. "Riley! Calm down!" He shook me slightly and my screaming stopped.
"It's coming! The creature is coming!" I cried.
"Calm down, it was just a bad dream." He stroked my arms and frowned at me. "Your eyes.. they're glowing red again."
"We have to get out of here!" I threw the covers off of me. Was it really all a dream? I was never one to be as paranoid as I was now. It felt so real. Everything felt like it was actually there. Who were that woman and the little girl?
"No, you need rest!" James shoved me back onto the mattress and pressed me down onto the pillows. "You almost scared the crap out of me, Jesus." He ran a hand through his hair.
