I was currently going through my nightstands, looking under my bed and switching under the couch cushions. Nothing. My necklace was not in my apartment. My heart was racing at the thought of possibly dying today if I don't find this stone. I was getting used to the idea of growing old or actually being able to live long enough to do something with myself. I haven't even met all of my soulmates yet..

A thumping on the door brought me out of my thoughts, walking over to the door I didn't even bother checking to see who it was, throwing the door open.

"Nik-" A scream leaving my lips as a huge wolf jumps at me. Claws digging into my skin as it tries to bite me. My hands jolt out to hold the snarling head away from me, my fingers somewhat slicing against its teeth as I try to push it away. I screamed out as it growled and scratched at my face.

"FRANKIE!!" I heard at my door. I couldn't see who it was, but it sounded like Nik. I went to yell from him but the wolf scratched at my face again, making my hands pull away from its mouth to block my face. "INVITE ME IN!" He shouted as I heard what sounded like him slamming against the invisible barrier.

"Co-" I screamed as the wolf bit into my arm. "COME IN!" I shouted. The wolf was ripped off of me within seconds, a snap was heard as the neck was snapped. My body was shaking probably in shock. Blood coming from my face, arms, stomach. Everything was stinging in pain.

"Frankie-" Nik came over to me, trying to see what he could do. Biting into his wrist, he held it to my mouth, but I shook my head. My breathing coming out in short pants. "Come on, Frankie. Let me heal you." I opened my mouth as he pressed his wrist to my mouth, his warm blood pooling into my mouth. I gagged slightly at the idea of his blood going into my mouth, but the taste was odd. It was almost like drinking some kind of tea or something. Soothing and relaxing. My hands shot up as I held his arm to my mouth. Nik used his other hand to lift my head up, pulling me to lean into his chest as we sat on the floor. I released his arm, leaning into him as tears came out of my eyes. My mind and body still in shock as I looked over to where the wolf was laying dead, just as it was fading into dust.

"Nik-" I breathed, nodding my head to the disappearing wolf. Nik turned his head to see the wolf gone now, blood and ashes left in its place.

"What the bloody hell was that?" Nik muttered, holding me tighter as he must have heard my heartbeat rocket.

"Nik..That wolf.." My mind was over working as it was putting things together. "That was the same wolf, Nik." My eyes wide as I stared ahead. Blood staining my floors. Tears leaving my eyes.

"Same wolf?" Nik repeated in question.

"From 1001...It looked the same.."

"That's impossible, Frankie.. That was over a thousand years ago.." Nik explained. I shook my head.

"I-I think my past is trying to catch me. I'm not supposed to be here.." Nik turned me slightly in his arms, cradling me to his chest still.

"Are you saying your past is trying to kill you? That sounds ridiculous." I looked up at him, his eyes softening as he saw how scared I was. "We'll protect you, love. I promise." He assured, pulling me to him and hugging me. His lips pressing to my hair as I relaxed into him.

"Frankie? Nik?" I heard from the doorway. I pulled away from Nik some and looked at Elijah who was standing there. His eyes went from us to the blood on the floor. "What happened?" He demanded.

"Come in, Elijah." I whispered. He vamped in, pulling me from Nik and into his chest as Nik went into explaining what had just happened.
