My new lives just kept getting weirder. The vampires in the kingdom to the chanting people in the woods. Now here I was in Salem, the place that was known for witchcraft. I was currently standing in the back of a burning. This century was not a good one. Burning women at the stake. Of course a man came up with this. I knew the woman who was currently burning. She was a friend of mine.
Annie Bennett. She was a real witch. She showed me things, floating stuff around and locators spells. I felt a tear leave my eye as I watched her burn. Her eyes found me, she wasn't screaming. She remained relaxed, letting the flames take her. She offered me a small smile before I turned away. My attention being brought to a blonde woman who was in the back near me.
She was beautiful. And somewhat familiar. She looked a lot like the blue eyed man. I made my way over to her.
"Hello." I spoke with a smile. "Did you know Annie?" She turned to me, looking me up and down before meeting my eyes.
"I did not. It's cruel how they treat women." She responded. I nodded in agreement.
"It's always been so terrible for women. Why can't the men just leave us alone?" The woman laughed with me.
"I'm Rebekah Mikaelson." Her last name made me freeze. It seems that the Mikaelson's were floating from each of my lifetimes. I wonder how and why. I shook the feeling of a pull from me, smiling at her.
"Francesca Kernly. But you can call me Frankie." I told her. Rebekah smiled, reaching out and shaking my hand in a single shake. I turn my head as a man comes up to us. He seemed familiar as well. It was odd, like my past lives were merging into my mind, trying to show me memories. I remember most of everything, but I couldn't remember where I had met this man.
"Elijah! This is Frankie, she was a friend of-" Rebekah trailed off, glancing at me to jump in.
"Annie Bennett. It's lovely to meet you Elijah." I smiled at the man, He stared at me for a moment, shock filling his face.
"I'm so sorry for staring, I just- I swear I have met you once before." He apologized, reaching out and grabbing my hand and pressing a long kiss to my knuckles. Tingles ran through me at his touch. Literally taking my breath away. "It's a pleasure meeting you, Ms. Frankie." His eyes returned to mine, his warm brown eyes. Flashes of taking my final breath as I stared into those warm brown eyes, flashed before me. I blinked a few times, trying to come back to this reality. "Are you alright?"
"Yes, sorry. Just my worlds colliding. You know how it is, I'm sure." I said as I pulled my hand from his. The feeling of discomfort filling me at the knowledge that this man was in one of my past lives. He watched me die. My eyes glanced to Rebekah. Was she there too back then? Are they- No, they couldn't be.
"Frankie?" I snapped my gaze to Rebekah.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"I asked if you were feeling ill. You are turning rather pale." She analyzed, stepping towards me. If they were vampires, they could hear my heart beating right now. I need to calm down.
"You don't seem alright, Ms. Frankie." Elijah said, reaching out to touch my upper arm, but I stepped back some. Hurt filling his eyes.
"Sorry- Uh Annie was one of my best friends, I just- I need to head home." I told them. I turned away from them, about to head in the direction of my house when I saw another familiar face. The blue eyed man that told me to run. My heart stopped at seeing him. His blue eyes met my brown ones. Shock and confusion filling him as he recognizes me. I didn't waste another moment, walking in the other direction in a quick pace.

I'm sitting in Annie's house, going through her things. Her mother had given me permission to help box some things up with her. I was close to the Bennett family. Annie's mother swears that I have some spell placed on me. I believe her, but Annie called her insane.
"Mrs. Bennett? Can you tell me about this spell that you see on me?" I asked her as I place some of Annie's books into a box. Sarah looked up at me, shaking her head.
"I cannot. It's very old." I sigh at her words. "I'm sorry, dear. The spell is something I can feel, but I cannot place what it is. Do you know anything about it?" I looked at her, trying to figure out whether I should tell her about my odd life, or lives. "It's okay, dear. I won't judge or think you are crazy. Don't forget who you are talking to." Sarah smiled. I smiled back, nodding.
"I remember different lives.. always short lives. I was born in 985 AD." I told Sarah. She looked at me, shocked. "I know, it sounds crazy. But that's not it. I was born in 1097 and 1473. Or the more recent of being born in 1677. The first time I died, I was 16. After that, it seemed to always be at 17. I'm 17 now, Sarah.." I looked up to see Sarah looking at me, processing.
"I'm so sorry, dear-" Sarah was interrupted by someone slamming the door open. "Can I help you??" Sarah demanded, standing up. I stepped in front of her, protecting her from the mayor. He was the one who chose to burn Annie.
"I'm not here for you Sarah." He told her before looking to me. "Someone had said you used to do spells with Annie, Frankie. Is that why you are here? Destroying the evidence?"
"This is absurd!!" Sarah screeched as I stammered, trying to process what he was saying.
"I-" Someone came in, grabbing me by the arms.
"Francesca Kernly, you are accused of practicing witchcraft and are hereby sentenced to death." The mayor spoke sternly as the guy holding me started to shove me out. Sarah screeching behind us.
"It's okay, Ms. Bennett. I'll be okay." I told her, glancing over my shoulder at her. She took a deep breath, nodding. Tears flowing from my eyes as they drag me out to the center of the town, forcing me to step up onto the wood pile and tying me into place, my hands behind my back. People were gathering around us, watching the supposed witch be burn.
"Any last words, Ms. Kernly?" The Mayor asked. I took a deep breath, searching the crowd, spotting the Mikaelson's in the back of the crowd. Rebekah and Elijah staring in shock and sadness, but the blue eyed man just stared at me. Like he was trying to figure me out. I took my eyes away from them, meeting the darker shade of blue of the Mayor.
"You've made a grave error. If I was a witch, I would have saved Annie from you. But you will receive your karma." I stood up slightly straighter, people whispering, gasping in thought that I was cursing their beloved Mayor. I let out a small laugh. "I hope you suffer, greatly." I spat at him. With that, he placed the flame at the end of the stakes, letting the flames build around me, licking my skin as I bit my lip to keep the whimpers or screams in. I turned my eyes back to the blue eyed man. He nodded at me.
As the flames turned the world dark around me. I knew then, that the Mikaelson's would be in my life again. Hoping for answers in my next lifetime.
