She sprinted back to the Compound.
"KLAUS!" she screamed. "ELIJAH! REBEKAH!"
They'd been in the dining room, and all walked out when they heard her.
"What the bloody hell happened?" asked Rebekah. "You're all pale."
"Dahlia just killed Josephine," she said. "She— she healed her hands. Josephine couldn't play any instrument, especially not the violin, but Dahlia healed her. Where's Freya? We need to come up with a plan, and we need it, now."
"Freya isn't here," said Elijah, casting Klaus a look. "She didn't wish to remain in this house for another second, now that Mikael..."
"Get her back here!" Catalina shrieked. "I need to go and do the Regent ceremony right now. There must be a witch in this house at all..."
She trailed off, and they all froze as Josephine walked in.
"No," said Catalina softly. "But... but you were dead..."
Josephine just smiled. "Forgive me for calling so late, but I've come bearing a message from your aunt Dahlia. She is owed a debt, and she means to be paid."
Klaus growled. "She can writhe in Hell first."
"For merely taking what your mother promised her?" asked Josephine. "If you must harbor hatred, isn't it better spent on the one who traded your child away a thousand years ago? Blame Esther, if you must, but I seek only to fulfill a bargain. A bargain that, consequently, resulted in your very existence. Perhaps you should be thanking me?"
"I'm gonna be sick," said Catalina, stepping back when she realized who this actually was. "Dahlia... is using her corpse..."
Rebekah stepped forward. "Get out of our house, Dahlia!"
"My child," said Josephine with a grin. "I prefer Aunt Dahlia."
"You dare enter my home?" sneered Klaus.
Josephine sighed. "I only came for what is mine." Her throat started to bleed, beneath the choker scarf she was wearing. "The time has come to add the child's power to my own. Though, I do not detect her here. I see you've used a spell to cloak her. No matter— such spells will yield, as will you. Say your farewells. You have 'til nightfall tomorrow, and then the child shall be mine. Be a dear and inform the mother? No reason we can't be civilized about this."
Klaus swiped his hand out, and Josephine's head flew off. Catalina just stared at it, feeling like she might throw up. Josephine's corpse already smelled awful.
"Get to the witches," said Klaus lowly to Catalina. "Inform them of Josephine's passing."
She didn't take the body with her for obvious reasons. She got in her car, and went full speed toward the Regent's mansion, where she was able to send out messages to get them to meet her at the Lafayette Cemetery. Before any of that, however, she'd contacted Vincent and Davina.
"You know, I agreed to support you after that thing you taught the Tremé witches," said Vincent. "But are you sure you're doing this for the right reasons?"
"I'm doing it for Hope," said Catalina. "And for me. I don't think I can bring Kol back today. It'll have to wait. For now... I just need to be able to do something."
"You remember the plan?" asked Vincent. "If something goes wrong... they're gonna want me to take over. But I don't want that power, so it's gonna be Davina. Can you deal with that? The fact that you might get backlash once this is actually put into the works?"
