I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing, my head pounding with an oncoming headache. My hands reach out for my phone that rests on my nightstand, grabbing at nothing until my hand reaches the cold thing.. Bringing it to my face, I turned it on which was probably a bad idea because the screen was bright as hell. I rubbed my eyes while grumbling before answering my phone, not bothering to look and see who was calling me.

"What time is it?" I ask the person on the other end sleepily. A yawn escapes me causing me to bring the phone away from my face for a brief moment. I hate that I'm woken up after only having just fallen asleep after coming back from Sage dragging me off somewhere.

"Umm about 4:36," said the person on the other end sounding like they also just woke up. Even though we've both just woken up, I recognize the voice as Hendrix's. "We are doing the pranks today right? Because I already called everyone else, and we are on our way to Secret Spot with all the supplies. I just wanted to make sure you were still on board with everything."

"Oh yeah," I replied, jumping out of bed. It totally slipped my mind after last night, and my mind was still whirling with the events that played out. They were all I could think about in mys sleep doing nothing but only making me more angry at Sage for what I had read on his phone. I know that I shouldn't have snooped on his phone or read anything, but it's not my fault he left his phone laying around without any passwords on it. I still can't believe the audacity of him. He's so going to get it today. "I'm on my way now, but I want to switch two of the pranks around. Nothing serious, but I thought it might fit them better if we did so"

"Okay just tell us when you get here," Hendrix tells me with a yawn before hanging up. I throw on a pair of black jeans with rips in them, a black tank top, and put a gray and black striped sweater that goes just above my navel before pulling on my boots. After I open my window, I turn around and grab my bag that I packed before Sage came with supplies and snacks and shoved my phone in it before hopping out my window and shimming my way to the tree.

I land on the ground almost perfectly and then take off into the woods. Even though it is dark outside, I know exactly where I am going because I know these woods like the back of my hand. When I was little, I used to spend all my time climbing in the trees and just wandering around aimlessly when I felt like it. It was the only alone time I had away from my overbearing parents and their expectations for me. This knowledge now comes in handy because within a few minutes, I'm at the crossroad that leads to another section of woods that will bring me to the Secret Spot.

Looking around making sure everything is clear and that nobody is following me, I run across the stretch of road in front of me in record time and continue running. My hair slaps into my face because of the wind blowing all around me so I hurry to fashion it into a makeshift bun that would do for now (I could fix that later). Continuing on with no hair in my face, I run faster being able to see better, and in no time, I make it to the clearing where the Secret Spot is.

Once there, I see that everyone is already there waiting for me to arrive. Smiles break out across their faces when they see that I've finally joined the party. Jadan and Aniya are holding the bags with the hair dye and spray paint, TeX and Gwendolyn have the bags with the scissors and glitter glue, Jevan and Niklaus have their makeshift cologne that smells horrible like a skunk took a dump and then sprayed it, and finally, Hendrix has all the directions and openings to their houses as seeing I don't remember where they live. To be honest, I don't even know how he got those or how he even knew where they lived or anything, but that was something I wasn't focused on. I could worry about that another time maybe when I wasn't fuming mad at Sage.
