??? Years Later

"I always knew that one day I would die early. Since I was a little girl I had a feeling due to how recklessly I behaved. It was just a given in my life.

But I know that no matter what, I've failed you. There are some things in life that can't be changed no matter how hard you try. That's how I know I've failed you.

For one thing, I told you I would always be there for you, but now I'm not."

Every year on her birthday, Mother's Day, and her death date, Kade visited her grave with Braxton to give her flowers and cards.

"I never told you about Braxton or my cancer."

Kade cared for Braxton as if he were her own child which he was after the adoption papers went through. She also set up an organization to raise money for cancer research.

"I lied to you about a lot of things. I lied about how long I was away hiding and the true nature of Sage which I deeply regret."

Sage tried to make amends with Kade multiple times to no avail. She just didn't want anything to do with a person who repeatedly lied to her on a daily basis. She also didn't want to be with a person who caused her to change who she truly was as a person.

"I wished I could right every wrong I made, but I waited way too long. There's nothing I can do now to fix the damage I'd done.

I'm glad to see you've gained your memories back. I'm glad that you're still the Kade I know and love. I'm glad to see you've moved on and became happy."

Izzie, Kade, and Braxton moved into a small and quaint three bedroom two bath cottage on the country side to get away from the people who manipulated them and did them wrong.

"Braxton always asked me if he would ever have any siblings in time once I had found someone I could be with. I'm glad to see that you have given all he ever wished for in life."

Kade adopted two more children so far: one boy and one girl. The boy's name is Bently, and he was only adopted two years ago making him now three. Braxton is now seven and loves being a big brother to Bently showing him different things and telling him the things he knows about the world. Katie is fourteen and was only adopted three months ago. She's happy to finally have a family even though Kade's her mom and just turned twenty three. She sees her more as a sister but still treats her as her mom.

"It's interesting you know, watching you live your life from up above. I know what's coming your way even if you don't. That guy you talk to when you go eat at that restaurant? He may just become more important in your life than you suspect. Just give it two years, and I'll be watching your wedding."

She noticed the guy was watching her again. She wondered if he was ever going to talk to her. When he did though, she realized how funny he was. How kind he was. How smart he was. How loving he was. And that was two years ago. Now, he slipped a silver wedding band on her finger making her Mrs. Zach Martin.

"That sick feeling you've been having lately? It's more than just the flu. . ."

Kade picked up the little white stick that rested on the sink counter and looked at it. Two lines. She was pregnant.

"It's funny up here with Aniya watching your life unfold. You've suspected you were having twins, and you're right. But Aniya disappeared lately. And so have I."

She looked at her twin baby girls and at once knew exactly what she wanted to name them. Aniya and Heather; they reminded her of people she once knew.

"You know, it's kind of funny seeing you spoil us rotten not really knowing that we are your friends reincarnated into your kids. One day, you'll realize it, but it isn't soon. I'm glad your life is finally complete. You have two kids of your own and three kids you gave a loving family to. I told you I'd always be your side. And a promise is a promise no matter what."
