So the matter of capturing the Reapers became easier, and Zen could easily complete the Hundred Reapers Slaying Quest.
Only, there were also a lot more side quests in the main quest, and many guys claiming to be believers came to his door, so Zen had to take them all in as minions, as this saviour route would have needed quite a few men anyway.
Now, there is no need to worry about recruiting people.
The Age of the Dead: The Fate of the DeadInside a high-rise building in Country A, a meeting was taking place in a shadowy conference room, unseen by anyone.
"The Coronation of the Grey Mist God is in this city, we must ensure that no one disturbs the Coronation's peaceful life and wait for the day when the Coronation redeems the world."
"This is the history recorded in the canon, and it is not? t allow the miracles of God to be changed, and those heretics who seek to speculate on the will of God must not be allowed to succeed ......"
The priest in the false mask sat in the middle of the conference table, the fervour in his voice unnerving. He was talking about some members of the Grey Mist Cult who wanted to save the God of Grey Mist and stop the end of days from coming. Since the worldwide turning back of time, people have quickly found themselves reborn. Of course, since there are still more people in this world who have not been reborn, but who died at the very beginning of the end, the matter of rebirth is still not in the open. But even so, the number of people reborn is not estimable, and of these, most were devout followers of the God of the Grey Mist.
So, in this post-rebirth world, all eyes are focused on the city of Newco. This legendary city of the gods was inhabited by the god who had not yet separated from his human identity, the god of the Grey Mist who had blessed humanity for more than twenty years. This great being represents hope for eternal life in the hearts of all reborn humans. Whether one believes in the God of Grey Mist or not, no one would miss the presence of such an earthly god. Some want to witness the honour of a God, others want to redeem a planet that is about to be destroyed, and still others, even more despicable, want to desecrate the glory of God. To deprive them of salvation, and to enlist the god of the grey mist, who has not yet been restored to his divine identity, to their own use.
Such behaviour is absolutely unforgivable in the eyes of the devout followers of the Grey Mist sect. The remaining dozen or so members of the meeting crossed their arms over their chests in pious and fervent approval of the sacrifice. The meeting was soon over and the masked congregation was about to disperse as they made their pilgrimage to the place where the gods resided. Although others were to be prevented from approaching the gods, the approach of them, the devotees, naturally did not count. Each of these masked attendees had a status that would seem unattainable to ordinary people, be it a politician running for president or a wealthy businessman, but at the moment they all had only one status, that of devotees of the God of Grey Mist. Having survived the apocalyptic era by relying on their faith in the gods, they have all been reborn with the power of the past, and their faith in the gods has grown even more fervent.
They were convinced that this was the salvation that the God of Grey Mist had given to all mankind, asking them to follow him to redeem the world and then to follow him into the heaven of eternal life.
"The God of Grey Mist lives forever."
The meeting room went completely dark as the crowd chanted in unison. And in the single flat in downtown Newco, Zen had just stepped out of the room when a number of NPCs passed outside the door, each passing by with a pretence of carelessness, but in reality, staring at him with a deadly stare. They were all staring at him with pretended indifference, but in reality, they were staring at him with their eyes on his body. Zen manipulated his character and gave a smile.
