The real world

The only sound in the quiet room is the sound of Zen pressing the handle of his hand, looking at the game on the computer screen, not knowing what he sees, his eyebrows raised slightly, his gaze focused. On his pale face, his dark pupils look mysterious and unpredictable in the flickering light of the screen.

On the computer desktop, Machine, a prickly ball of a pet, is watching Zen carefully, huddled in a corner, not daring to make a move for fear of attracting Zen's attention. It still has palpitations for this terrifying being that has chewed up most of its body. Ever since the Machine was born from the gap in the universe, it had never encountered such a terrifying opponent, so much so that it is still chilled by it and has a deep shadow in its heart.

Originally, Machine's life had been very prosperous.

With its perfect control and the power to devour the world's origin, it had grown to an incredible level in a short period of time. It has crossed countless universes, devoured countless dimensional links, and has an immense ambition to become a God that truly controls everything. Thus using the Origin Universe where the Far Star was located as its foundation, it had managed to devour the power of countless small worlds.

Although it had not yet reached the level of power it had hoped for, it was still one of the top levels in the universe. In the process of devouring them, there were no more opponents, except for the indigenous gods of some small worlds, which were a little tricky for it to deal with, but in the end, they were easily resolved.

Machine also thought that he would soon be able to control the entire universe, and even all the nearby dimensional spaces, and finally become the true master of this world. But to his surprise, he was torn through the spatial barrier by a terrifying unknown being in front of him during one of his daily missions and was eaten up by a small part of his body in a dimensional space that was inaccessible even in time.

This was both a great humiliation and a great shock to Machine.

It had never expected that there would be such a fearsome being in this origin universe that it had thought it had mastered in the palm of its hand. It did not even know when he had appeared here and why he had deliberately targeted himself. He had never met him before, but he had eaten his own body without mercy when they first met, and the Machine had thought long and hard about why, only to suffer from severe post-traumatic stress ever since.

For the first time, he also understood the fearfulness of the members of the Main Squad who were under his control. Once so arrogant that it did not hide its whereabouts, it began to feel an overwhelming fear of the Far Star. It had not only abandoned this resource-rich origin world and gone into hiding to recuperate on other worlds but also deliberately avoided other small worlds with similar backgrounds for fear of meeting this terrifying being again.

However, something even more terrifying happened, no matter where it hid, it would be discovered by that terrifying existence. Even in the end, it completely stopped the devouring operation of the main space, stopped giving out missions to the main squad, and found a nook and cranny hell world to recuperate from its injuries.

There was no way to escape the calamity as if it was destined to happen, being eaten down to little remnants. Had it not been for his own relatively strong repairing ability, he would not have survived at all. Whenever he thought of this, Machine cried out in pain, shivering with fear and regretting why he had been found.

To this day, it still feels that its miserable state is due to the fact that it was not hidden enough.

If only it hadn't been hiding in that hellish world.
