God, is dead.
The smile on Lederer's face froze, and he could no longer maintain the bemusement on his face, looking at the flesh and blood shattered on the ground, his eyes shocked. As far as the eye could see, the entire palace had been turned into a sea of blood by the shattering of the mountain of flesh, and many people were struggling in the sea of blood, but only a few people on high were spared.
What had happened?
Why did God suddenly perish?
The survivors were so amazed and confused that they could not help but focus their attention on the man closest to the altar. The dark-haired, dark-eyed young nobleman started back uncertainly, his hands still stained with bright red blood, ticking and dripping. Although none of the people under the altar had witnessed what had just happened, they subconsciously felt that the bland-faced young man must have had something to do with the sudden death of the ancient God.
On the other side, Kaye trembled slightly, not daring to look at what was happening in front of him. His eyes swept over the raging river of blood, his eyes creepy and complex, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.
It was as if he was grieving the loss of a hundred years of work, or as if he had finally acknowledged a truth that was unbelievable to him. It was only after a long moment that he looked up at the young nobleman who looked down from above the altar.
Kaye's lips fluttered, her eyes glistened with tears, and her knees gave way. After this experience, Kaye was sure of her previous suspicions. How could there be any other answer to the question of who could easily destroy the mountain of flesh and blood that he had built with a hundred years of hard work, other than the coronation of the supreme ancient God?
Kaye, on his knees, remembered the disrespect he had just shown to God and was overcome with a moment of grief, resenting his inability to recognise the gods in their true form.
Such an incompetent believer could not gain the favour of God.
Since being abandoned by the gods a hundred years ago, Kate had once again experienced what despair was.
What was he to do?
To commit such blasphemy against God he had so passionately pursued!
Not only had he spoken evil words, but he had tried to sacrifice the incarnation of God before, a sin that even Kaye could not forgive himself for. Kaye thought sadly, and the next moment, before he had a chance to continue the self-examination of his sins, he was kicked to the ground with tremendous force.
BANG--!
It was Lederer.
Lederer's expression was so cruel and cold that it was unlike anything he had ever seen before, and his swift speed made it impossible to catch his movements even by sight, as the deadly spell in his hand approached Kate's vulnerable neck and used it as a threat.
"Speak! What the hell have you done! Why is the ancient God gone!"
Lederer's voice was low as he grimly choked Kaye, his eyes once appearing kind and dark. As he watched the dream he had always had shattered, the mask Lederer had put on instantly crumbled, no longer able to maintain its original form, and his emotions became abnormal.
Lederer did not believe that the Ancient God was really dead, it was definitely not dead!
Having fought with the Ancient Gods for most of his life, Lederer could be said to be a person who knew more about the Ancient God than many other believers.
