The countdown to the destruction of a distant planet has begun.
On the streets of the Federation, the same image is projected on every electronic device, and in it, the image of the alien that has been making the rounds on the internet recently jumps out. In the image, the alien, named Joe, claims to be from a higher civilisation, the Vols and has come to say a final goodbye to the people of Far Star.
In half an hour, the Vols will represent the Interstellar Alliance, the righteous side, to destroy the hypocritical Farseers and bring peace to the universe. The reason was that the government of the Farseers refused to sign a trade contract with them, and had set them up by kidnapping and murdering one of their soldiers. As a justified counter-attack, the Vols will implement a policy of immediate destruction against the Farseers in accordance with the Interstellar Alliance's Article 153 counter-attack regulations.
"...... I hope you scream a little louder before you die so I can hear you better!"
Joe's eyes were grim and the corners of his mouth grinned wide as if he was gazing at all the humans off-screen as if he was playing the prank of a century. When he finished, the holographic projection turned into a countdown of twenty-nine minutes and fifty-nine seconds. Beneath the holographic projection, countless humans who had been walking hurriedly in the streets stopped in their tracks, and they looked up at the electronic time that symbolised the countdown to destruction, and suddenly exploded into a frenzy.
"Aliens? What is he talking about? What world destruction?"
"Is it a prank? Or has it been hacked, I've got this image all over my light screen and phone!"
"What about the government! All taxes and no work! Someone, please explain all this!"
People were bewildered and confused, not knowing what was going on, and were in chaos in the streets, with some calling the government, others rushing home with anxious faces to escape the noise of the outside world, and others taking advantage of the chaos to kill and set fire to their homes.
Even the media, trying to find a way to reassure the people, we're unable to get their signals out, and all the electronics were counting down the minutes. The ticking, ticking, ticking numbers that dwindled with each passing hour made everyone who watched it feel oppressed and anxious. But it was unprecedentedly quiet on the social networks, and no one could use the internet, which made it even more depressing for the Farseers, who were used to getting information online.
Unable to quell their fears and confusion, people took to the streets and looked around in disbelief, looking for help. At that moment, the ship outside the Farseer, under Joe's command, had begun to build up its weapons. As this was a slave ship, not specifically designed to destroy planets, there was no fast energy storage device, and it took half an hour to build up the power. But the electromagnetic waves generated in the midst of the buildup were enough to have a huge impact on civilisations on distant planets, and all electronics were disturbed and almost destroyed.
Immediately, all those strolling through the streets looking for help saw the street traffic crashing together like a runaway, and a plane swept overhead and landed in the centre of the city, causing a huge explosion. Explosions and flames stained most of the sky, inky black smoke poured from the towering skyscrapers, smoke and dust rolled in, and the air was filled with madness and pain. Screams arose, and in just ten minutes the city had been thrown into a state of panic. An emergency meeting of the top brass was being held in the government building in the heart of the Federation, and everyone was frazzled.
"Quick! Send in the armed forces to pacify the masses first, or at least we can't let the city go on in such chaos! It's on the verge of being broken into a military base!"
