Zen looks at the card image of this copy. An ant wearing a red king's cloak sat on an intricately carved throne with a white fleece collar covering his face, revealing only a pair of compound eyes that had been beautifully decorated in anime style, with a somewhat grim expression. Beneath the gold sculpted throne, the bones and blood of insects of all shapes and sizes stain the floor.
The card was exquisitely drawn, and it was as if you could smell the blood coming from it, making you want to know the story hidden behind it. Zen felt as if he hadn't visited the [Worm] copy in a long time, so he clicked in to see what the Worm world looked like in the hologram.
"I had watched a video of this world in the previous copy of [Old Manor], but it was a glorified cartoon style, and I wondered if the effect would be different after the holographic immersion." With that in mind, he clicked in and then saw the system show him the previous episode.
A holographic video popped up, and the ant king from the previous card stand appeared, starting its life. The graphics style was realistic and realistic, and Zen was immersed in it without realising it.
Insects: The Blood Emperor
In the night, the glow of flames stained the sky of the kingdom, and the descendants of the princes who used to enjoy themselves in the palace fled in a frenzy of screaming and killing with swords and guns, and blood flowed all over the moat. A dynasty that had lasted for centuries had fallen, and on the road outside the city, a dilapidated carriage carried the last of the royal bloodline, fleeing to an unknown destination.
"Prince Bittle, you are our last hope!"
The loyal lady-in-waiting sobbed as she held the yellow-faced prince in her arms. The prince named Bittle's eyes were bleak and he gave a slightly sarcastic look at the maid holding him. He remembered vividly how the maid, who had served the Queen, had sneered at his son, the son of a servant girl. Bittle also knew why this lady-in-waiting was now so attentive to himself.
Now that he was the only direct descendant of the royal family left, the knights and nobles wouldn't have given her a second glance if they hadn't used him as an excuse, let alone taken her along and prepared a carriage. But, forget it, they were using each other anyway, and without this lady-in-waiting, he would not have been able to run away from the kingdom. Bittle's eyes were cold with thought, although he was only thirteen years old, he had long matured in his mind after being bullied in the palace and saw the coolness of the world very thoroughly.
He even felt that in this world, everything was ugly and there was nothing worth pursuing, even the matter of survival was meaningless to Bittle. Perhaps one day afterwards he would kill himself to end this boring life.
Boom!
As Bittle waited boredly for the carriage to reach its destination, it suddenly overturned, spilling blood all over the ground. By the time Bittle managed to crawl out of the wagon, he raised his eyes and saw a beautiful insectoid clad in a long black robe with a black hood covering half of her face.
"...... The last of the descendants, huh, found you~"
The ghastly-faced insectoid female withdrew her hood, and the magical fireworks that bloomed in her hands burnt the nearby guards and attendants to a crisp. Then, amidst the screams and hisses, she stepped forward with a delicate stride and picked up the back of Bittle's bleeding neck. Bittle's eyes widened to see that the exposed upper half of this gorgeous insectoid's face was partly white with bone, unlike the hard exoskeleton of the insectoid, but a much stranger shape of a bone.
It was difficult for Bittle to describe it with his own lack of words, but he just felt that while this was beautiful, it was strangely beautiful.
