Exactly two weeks have passed since I had awoke from having the twins, and one day extra if you count the twins' birthdays. Things have been okay, I haven't had anymore freaky visions to say the least, but I've got to spend time with the twins and watch them grow even a little. I haven't lost all my baby weight, just some of it, and I am trying to work on it. I will try to help carry supplies, or even try to go on some docks; Rowan permitting. Speaking of, Rowan has been becoming a better father to the twins; taking care of them, and playing with them. I sometimes feel a little self-conscious about myself around Rowan, which when you go from an average American high school senior to a British girl who just had twins, what could I think? I try to spend some time with Rowan also, we both work pretty well as a team, even though he doesn't believe me on the possible time travel, he's a great partner, or ride or die? I don't know. I sit on the bed and play with Elizabeth's hair as Thomas plays with his toes. They both seem to have hazel and blue eyes; which I suppose makes some sense, since I have a green eye and a brown eye. I laugh at Thomas "Baby, you can't pick at your toes like that." I giggle before poking his belly, he laughs cheerfully causing his sister to follow suit. I now sigh. "Oh, you two." I say before I hear a knock on the doorframe. I turn to my left to see Reid "Top o' da Mornin', Lass." He greets as I smile "Please, come in." I say, he takes a few steps forward and smiles at the twins "Jus' wanted ta see how ye were doin'." He says "Oh, we're doing great! The twins are doing wonderfully. Where's Rowan?" I ask with an arched brow, he's supposed to be with Reid "Aye, he's tryin' ta find land, we've wound up near Greece." He explains. Elizabeth starts babbling and Reid grins "They get a bit noisy at times, I do apologize." I say. Reid laughs "No need, Alice. I wish I would had some o' me own, but Rowan taught me he's enough!" He says, I giggle "Oh, Rowan? Being enough? No way." I joke. Reid now takes off his hat "He made me a grandfatha, that, I couldn't be more dankful fer." He says "Aww, you're doing an amazing job...Athair." I say, he looks at me in surprise. Oh no. "I-I'm sorry, Rowan always calls you that, so I decided to-" "Ya need ta quit 'pologizin', ya ain't done nothin' wrong. Dat word means fatha, an' wit ya marryin' da boy, guess dat makes ya fam'ly." He cuts me off. I smile softly at him "Reid, you are the most amazing captain I've ever met." I say, Reid smiles "No, I use ta be a bad man, a t'eif, a criminal, and then I met wee Rowan, he showed me what love really was." He says. Suddenly George comes by the door "Cap'n, a word!" He exclaims before turning and running back. Reid sighs "Take care o' yerself today, Alice." He says as I nod "Goodbye, Athair." I say. He walks out and leaves me with the twins. I want to stay with them, but curiosity is getting the better of me. "I need to see what is going on, but I don't want to leave you both." I say, looking at them. An idea pops in my head, and I move the babies over to the corner of the bed where it meets the wall, and I walk out of the room to quickly grab a chair. I speedwalk my way back into the room and I set it in the middle of the floor. "Now you guys watch me, alright?" I ask with a small laugh before I stand up on it to listen to the ceiling "Ahoy, ya best jes' keep yer eyes out fer 'im." I hear a man say "Will do." Rowan says sharply. Suddenly the ship stops roughly; sending me to the floor with a loud bang. I scream and try to shield my head as I fly. Thomas and Elizabeth begin screaming and crying, but I feel stiff...oh no, I'm paralyzed!! I can't breathe, and I've had this feeling before; I've struck my back. I hear footsteps hurriedly fade in and out while I look at the wooden ceiling "Alice!! Alice!!" Rowan shouts before running in and finding me. "Alice!! Are ya okay, Lassie?!" He shouts fearfully. Abdalla runs in after Rowan and checks on the twins. "Alice, please speak to me." Rowan begs. I open my mouth slightly to speak "F-...fell." I gasp out; trying to find air to breathe "She fell, Rowan. Fell from chair." Abdalla says "Why on God's Earth were ya usin' a chair for?" Rowan asks. Finding my air once again I slowly try to sit up "I was...curious, why did we stop?" I ask with an arched brow "Because we're in Greece, Lassie. But now we might have ta take ya ta a doctor." Rowan says, picking me up by my arms. "Abdalla, watch da twins. We'll be back." He says, Abdalla nods and I look at him strangely...why is Rowan acting so odd? We walk up to the Main Deck "Is something wrong?" I ask "No, Lassie, other t'an ya almost killin' yerself. Why?" He asks hatefully "You seem off, did something happen?" I ask, he moves away from me and sets the board down onto the loading dock "Nothin' fer ya ta fash ova, ev'rythin's fine." He says quickly, grabbing me again. We walk onto the dock "Well, alright. But I'm fine, Row. We don't need to go to a doctor, I've had a fall like this before, just took the wind outta me was all." I say "Still, Lassie, I wantcha safe. 'Specially now." He says darkly, I move my hand from his "Tell me what happened, Rowan. Is it my uncle?" I ask "Lassie, no. Nothin' like dat!" He exclaims, eye wide. I cross my arms "Rowan, you're not making any sense, and you're acting weird. I really am fine, I don't need a doctor." "But I need ta keep ya healt'y an' safe. I ain't lettin' ya go anymo'." He says, I roll my eyes "Really, Row? I'm not your prisoner, I'm your wife." I snap, he now puts his left finger at me "Which is why I'm doin' it." He says. I shake my head "Okay, I dunno if you're on your Meriod. But I'm not putting up with it." I say, turning around. Rowan grabs my right forearm "Alice, Grant is around here!" He says in a hushed voice with gritted teeth. My eyes widen as he sighs. "I heard from a fellow pirate that he is around here in Greece, I want ta keep ya hidden from 'im. I don't want ya kilt." He says sadly "Rowan, that's ridiculous! I understand that you want to keep me safe, but this is toxic behavior." I say calmly, Rowan arches his right brow "I dunno what dat means, Lassie! But I'm yer hu'band now." He snaps. I cross my arms "Excuse me, nobody's taking over me, and I don't care what you are to me!" I exclaim. Rowan puts his hands to his head and yells "Jus' lemme protectcha!" He exclaims. I turn around and storm away from him "Alright, loving husband of mine, I'll head straight back to The Night Soul!" I exclaim. I head back to the hammocks and get inside the cabin where Abdalla stares at the twins with wide eyes "Evening, Alice." He says calmly as I approach him "Why, good evening to you. I am so tired of Rowan, and, no offense, just tired of being the only girl!" I exclaim. I really am starting to miss having friends that are girls. Abdalla nods, a bit confused, and looks at me "I t'ink Elizbeth hungry." He says whilst pointing at her, I nod and look at her to see her crying "Thank you, for watching them." I say as I head to my bed "Welcome, how is head by the way?" He asks, pointing to his head with his right hand. I nod and softly smile "Oh, yeah, I'm alright. I don't know why Rowan freaked out so much over it." I say "The Cap'n's heir has been a bit odd, but Grant is here." He says as I shake my head "Well, it's not my fault that he is, so he doesn't need to treat me like a prisoner." I retort. Abdalla nods and says his goodbye; leaving me alone, probably figured it'd be best. After I attempt to feed Elizabeth, and I say 'attempt' because I had no clue that breastfeeding would be hard, I lie down on the bed with Thomas and Elizabeth laying on both sides of my head. I hear footsteps and I look up. Maybe Rowan has finally calmed down, either that or he's still upset. Rowan comes through into the cabin; and we both lock eyes. "How was everything?" I ask calmly, making him look at me confused "Erm, it's alright." He says awkwardly. I nod and Thomas begins to cry "Thomas has been so quiet lately. I think he might be hungry." I say, sitting up to hold him in my arms "Aye, I haven't ate in two days." He says, looking down at the floor. I look up "You haven't ate in two days? Why ever not?!" I ask. Rowan now gets beside the bed and sits down "'Cause I've been a-tryin' ta feed ya, Lassie. We've had lim't'd sources fer da past few days. An' I can't bare ta see ya starve." He says before turning to look at me. I roll my eyes and shake my head "Rowan, don't starve yourself for me. You need to eat too. Look, I know you're stressed out, but you need to come to me and talk about it." I say. Rowan looks down at Thomas and grabs Elizabeth "We haven't spent a lotta time togetha fer awhile. An' I know dat..." He trails off. I look at him sympathetically "Rowan, I love you, okay? And I love these babies. I don't want you to think I'm mad at you, you are being a bit crazy over Grant, as I can handle my own-" "Not with him." He cuts me off, I look at him and nod "I understand that, Rowan. I'm sorry for storming off from you like that, you're worried for us." I say as he now grins "I'm sorry too, Lassie." He says, we now peck lips and hug. Later on in the night we lay down to sleep; I open my eyes and look out at the moon, I believe it is the early morning. I look at Rowan; him inbetween the twins. I smile softly at them and I quietly try to get out of bed; thankfully I slept on the corner from the wall. I head out and get up to the Main Deck, I really have no clue why I'm awake honestly. I look up at the moon to see it shining brightly in the sky. So much has happened so fast, I just wish there was a way I can go back home. I miss my old life too, and what was that face that talked to me? The sky begins to turn a hot pink slowly; I assume I'm catching the sunrise. I stare in wonder while feeling the wind blow my hair lightly. I kinda feel bad for leaving Rowan and the babies, but I need a break. I stay up for another hour before starting to feel my eyes get droopy; I rub them and sigh "Guess I should probably go back to sleep..." I trail off. Turning to the left to head back "Oy, Cap'ness, would ya mind checkin' on da Cap'n?" Chris, one of our crew, asks. I cringe and turn to face him "Uh, sure. Whatever for?" I ask "I be just tryin' ta see our next destination." He says as I nod "Oh, alright. Yeah, I'll go see." I reply. I head to the opposite side where Reid would be; Rowan hasn't officially been named Captain just yet. I head to the steps lazily; I should have went to bed much earlier! I don't even think Rowan is up yet. I rub my forehead as I get to the room and pass Doc's hammock; looking at it for a moment before heading into Reid's room...only to gasp. Reid is pale, his lips a light blue, he's not breathing and he's slouched over; his green eyes slightly open and glassy. It can't be...Captain Reid, my father in law, is dead...
