"well folks, looks like there's not gonna be any sunshine soon. The rain is still pouring, lighting is still flashing, and the thunder is still booming! Good luck to everyone in the town of New York. It's flooded there. That will be all for today! Sky watchers! " said the raido announcer.
I reach over and hit the off button. Riley is straddling my lap asleep, with her arms around my neck. Her light breathing in the crook of my neck, sends chills up my stone at times.
A roll of thunder comes and wakes her up. I watch her breathing change, and I feel her heartbeat change against my chest. She sits up with a groan, and realizes her position on me.
Her eyes widen.
"I... I... " she stutters
"it's okay." I reply
"are you sure? " she questions
"yeah.... Yeah I'm sure." I answer.
I cup her face in my hands, and brush my lips against hers. Then I pull her closer to me.
"I love you." I wisper
"I love you too. " she whispers back.
Another flash of lightning comes with the loudest roll of thunder yet, making her wince.
"it's okay... It's okay." I coo bring her as close to me as she can be.
