Chapter 34

Riley's P. O. V.

I wonder why Lucas wanted to know if I was eating lunch? I'll just brush it off.

(next day: before lunch)

I stop at my locker and put up my stuff, and go to lunch.

"hey! " I say walking up behind Maya.
"hey riles!" she says back. "have you seen Lucas? " I ask
"he went in the auditorium, I think. It was right after the bell rang. " she said
"okay, wanna come with me?" I ask
"sure, let me get Farkle. If that's okay with you. " she says
"yeah, it's fine! " I say

We walk down the empty halls to the auditorium, when we get there I hear muffled talking.

I look at Maya and Farkle in confusion, they give the same look back.

I grab the door handle and turn it slowly, not making any noise. I open the door with a slight creak, luckily they didn't hear me.

"Riley is nothing" I hear Lucas voice say.
"exactly! " I hear Missy

I gasp, and run off, letting the door slam behind me. Maya is chasing after me and Farkle stood there, just like a statue.

I run out the school building, I run in between two tall buildings hoping Maya won't see me.

Then a hand clasp over my mouth.
