30. Mature move

Ray drops me off at Leah's address and continues off to his errands, Leah is already waiting for me outside, we hug in excitement and start talking at the same time, "You will drool over this place" Leah assures me. can't wait to. The doorman opens the door for us and Leah introduces me to the door, "Stan, this is my favorite person in the whole world, she's Azra Falls, don't hesitate to let her in when ever she comes."
"Nice to meet you ma'am" he gives me his hand to shake.
"Nice to meet you too Stan" I say to him trying to wonder if his smile is genuine or formal. we continue to the elevator. Leah taps on the 20 button and my lips form an O to show my shock already. she gives me the I told you so look.
The elevator leaves us at our destination and the entrance alone is exclusive, We continue along a long corridor and stop at a pair of steel doors. Leah puts her hand on one of the door and the pair automatically opens reveling a black and white decorated furniture. Her living room is perfectly organized to match the warmness.
"Wow" I manage to mutter. I thought my apartment had it all till I saw this. "Austin has a really great taste, where's he by the way?" I ask.
"Of course an expert in real estate can't fail to get the best" Leah praises his fiance as she continues to set up breakfast ,  "at the moment he's talking to a client in the study but he will join us shortly. Initially I thought I were moving in to his former apartment that he co rented with his friend Jeremy but I also got the shock of my life."
"Am really jealous of this place" I say admiring everything in this magical place. In simple terms it's like a small castle.
"I too can't believe I will be living here, I had to pinch myself " she hands me a tray of all my favorite breakfast meals. she comes holding another one.
"we're eating from the balcony as you feed me on every gossip that happened between the two love birds" she points to another set of glass doors I had mistaken for windows.
"You even get to have a balcony too, I thought I would brag on you for that but looks like am no match now." we laugh heading to the seats on the balcony.
"I have an idea, why don't we throw a house warming party this weekend? "
"hahahaha" Leah laughs out loud and I can't seem to see what's funny.
"what's funny" I ask sipping on my milk.
"Not that it's actually funny, the thing is I was actually going to propose the exact idea. What I don't get is since when are you interested in parties."
"well, after all that has happened these past days, I realized that life isn't something we are certain of so am going to enjoy every second I have. Besides everything has been going smooth so why not toast to that" I shrug.
"what did you do to my bestie, cause that's not the boring Azra am used to. " Leah continues to laugh at me.
"well it's about time we spice things up", we both burst out laughing.
"So how was your last two nights at the new apartment. Saturday morning when I called you, we're all brushing like a little girl who just got her first kiss." Leah begins to tease me.
"well it was fine" I reply not knowing where to start from.
"C'mon old fashioned friend, please give me the details." she insists. "Alright let's start from the start, what happened when he found you in the apartment? ".
I feed my bestie  on everything that happened  and informed her on our plan to start living with Christa.
"Wow that's a mature move for you two!" she exclaims. "Am happy she gets to get both parental love ".
"what's the mature move?" Austin's voice startles me from behind making me spill my tea on my lap. I quickly put a napkin to absorb the milk before it full soaks in my jeans.
"Austin that's not how to startle visitors" Leah scolds him as I turn around to greet him. He's wearing a stripped vest and khaki shorts. typical weekend mood.
"Hi Austin", I give him my hand to shake "Nice place you've got here"
"Thanks for the compliment Azra, and how are you" he shakes my hand firmly. I heard laughters over here so I decided to join in. Hope am not interrupting girl talks, but it's really lonely inside" he says.
"Don't mind us dear in fact have a seat I go bring your breakfast" Leah says as he pecks her cheek and sitting in the chair in the middle of us.
"Don't worry I already had a glass of milk and an apple." Austin protests.
"Hahahahaha" we burst out laughing. It's his turn to look confused now.
"who eats an apple and milk for breakfast?" we ask in unison. "Breakfast is supposed to be the heaviest meal of the day." I try to explain to him. Leah looks like a mum trying to convince his soon to eat alot of food , Austin on the other hand is looking like a little boy who is trying not to eat a lot so he doesn't gain weight. It's a very pleasing sight to see and I can't help but laugh. They are so lovely together.
I spend the whole Sunday with Leah, she helps me bake muffins .we drink some wine and gossip about the latest celebrity gossip, tik tok and everything there is to say as we bake. Leah and Austin plan on adopting a dog.
"Before I forget, hope your free this Wednesday morning, I need you to come do some digging and planting at the orphanage." I remember to invite her. she puts the dough in the oven ,"are you sure I can manage. I don't know if am good with that." she replies.
"How will we know if you can manage without even trying, it will be fun. just don't come in heels" I assure her. " and see if Austin can come too, am trying to get as many volunteers as I can. so far I have my course mates , guys from agriculture and some of Ray's Friends.
Austin got bored with our jazz so he went to hit the gym.
By the time we get home, am about tipsy. we order pizza and eat it over a movie. we later finish our muffins I came with from Leah's. we take our exhaustion to bed clear to leave a reasonable gap between us.
