The first (or somewhat early, dunno exact time) "Christmas" trees were decorated with disembodied limbs.

How do I know this-

The Christmas season was always enjoyable. My boys had made it a point to enjoy every second, and they weren't holding back with their endeavors; they had already gone sledding, made eachother's Christmas gifts, watched an assortment of holiday movies, and drunk a collective total of over two gallons of hot chocolate. With that said, this Christmas season was one of the most exciting I'd ever had! I had just returned home from mailing a group of letters to Sansta, and I was ready to relax; my boys had been in an energetic state ever since December had begun, and I had been declining ever since. In all honesty, all I wanted was a small break. Sitting down on the living room couch, I closed my eyesocket, intending on drifting off to sleep; this had been too much for me! I sat in peace for about two minutes, at the end of which, I fell asleep..I must have been exhausted.

It was another wonderful day, and my brothers and I were ready to have more fun! Right now, we were in my room in the upper house, waiting for Dad to come home from the post office; we didn't have to go to the lower house this time, since he would only take a moment to mail the letters. We had heard Dad come home a minute ago, but we had decided to finish our game before going downstairs to see him. We hoped that he would help us put up the Christmas tree today, which would be super fun! When we were done with our game, we went downstairs to see Dad, but..he was..on the couch. His eyesocket was closed, and he looked as if he were..sleeping?

"Dad?" Horror whispered. "Are you awake?"

"I don't think he's awake." Dust said. "W-we shouldn't disturb him.."

"Why?" Error asked.

"That would be rude." Cross answered. "He must be really tired if he's sleeping during the day.."

"But how are we going to put up the tree without him?"

"We can do it!" I chuckled. "We just have to improvise!"

"Shh!" Dust shushed me, and I immediately quieted; it would be best not to wake up Dad.

"Sorry!"

With our decision to let Dad sleep confirmed, we went to our rooms and put on our jackets; we were going to have to get a tree from outside, since Dad preferred real Christmas trees. The only problem was..

"How are we going to get one?" Horror looked at the forest that surrounded us, finding no easy trees to cut down.

"Um.." I contemplated our course of action for a moment. "People use axes to cut down trees, right?"

"That's correct, but I don't think any of us are strong enough for that." Cross shrugged, shaking his skull.

"Horror's strong!" Error reminded. "He can lift Kills!"

"..." Everyone's gaze turned to Horror, who seemed surprised.

"I don't know how to use an axe!" He reminded.

"We'll have to pick a baby tree, but Horror should be strong enough, and as long as everyone stays clear of the blade, we should be fine." Cross stated.
