I waited for Nightmare to respond to me. He stared back at me for a few seconds before responding.
"Sure." He gave a short and simple response. I felt my stomach flutter at his response. I didn't expect him to accept my invitation.
I nodded my head with a small smile and turned back to the kittens. More of them were now sleeping peacefully in the bed. Pitch was the only one left that wasn't asleep. He was currently tangled in the yarn.
I crouched down and picked Pitch up. I started to untangle him from the yarn. He kept squirming, but I was luckily able to keep a good grip on him. After I helped Pitch out, he jumped out of my hands and ran to fall asleep with the others.
I gave a small giggle to his actions. I stood back up and turned around to where Nightmare had been standing. He wasn't standing there anymore.
I spun around to look at the clock on my nightstand. It read 11:12. It was fairly early to be honest. You were going to be going on a walk later to spend time with Nightmare, but that was at night. You didn't know what to do in the meantime, so you decided to do some errands and tidy your home.
...
You had spent a total of 2 hours tiding up your home. The place wasn't really that messy, but it had racked up some dust from the past few days. It was now almost 2pm, and Nightmare would probably be back around nine for the walk, or at least you thought.
After you finished cleaning you made your way to your living room. While it had only been 2 hours, you were still exhausted. You tried to relax as much as you could, but you couldn't. Every time you tried to relax, you would hear a car drive by your house.
You sighed and let your arms go limp in the chair you were sitting it. The chair was made of leather, and was very comfortable. You smiled a bit since you were finally able to relax. It would be smart to take a nap before the walk, considering you two would be out at night.
You tried to fall asleep, and succeeded in so.
You were standing in the open field again, and Dream was sitting at the bench. You gasped in happiness, and ran toward Dream. He heard your foot steps from farther away, and he turned around to see who you were. When he figured out it was you, you saw him beam with joy.
Dream let you run over to him. He set him hand on the area next to him on the bench, signaling for you to sit beside him. You took the spot and turned to face Dream. He had a wide smile on his face. He seemed truly happy to see you again.
"Welcome back Y/N! I didn't expect you to fall asleep early." He poked his own cheek as if he was confused or intrigued in something. You gave a small giggle in return.
"I didn't think I'd fall asleep either, I was struggling to." I replied with a faint smile on my face, trying to make sure Dream didn't worry. It didn't seem to work.
He frowned at my words and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Why couldn't you fall asleep?" He was staring into your eyes now. He seemed genuinely concerned.
"It was really nothing. It was bad luck. Cars kept driving past my home, distracting me." I swatted my hand in the air. Dream exhaled at your words. He seemed as if something bad had happened to you.
"I was just making sure. You usually have a negative aura as soon as you fall asleep." He turns to the side as he frowns. The aura is most likely because of Nightmare.
You two sat in silence for a little just staring off to look at the beautiful field. The place seemed more pretty than last time you were there. There were also more animals, to your surprise. It's as if this place existed out of your dreams. But you knew that wouldn't be possible.
