Begonias can symbolize "beware"

❖ Oh how I wished I could have turned this skeleton away. It's not that he's annoying, it's quite the opposite. He's rather distant, and holds a hatred for what appears to be humans in general. If he was going to force himself into my life for his own amusement, making the interactions between us civil is the least I can do for myself.
❖ Then I remembered my job. It's currently a Sunday, meaning tomorrow is Monday. I work a 4 day a week schedule, thanks to our cafe being high staffed and me in a higher position. I'm not sure how long I've been working there, but I've known of the place since I was thirteen. I'd have to go in tomorrow and then work late due to a co-workers schedule complications. I wanted to get a decent amount of sleep because I'd be working late, but with Nightmare looming over my shoulder constantly that might be hard.
❖ It was currently around 7pm. I was planning to go up to my room, read for a bit, and then hopefully pass out before or around 9pm. I drug myself through my home, and into my bedroom. I chose a simple pair of black pajamas, putting them on almost immediately. Once I was changed, I grabbed a random book from the bookshelf in my room, hoping to soothe myself to sleep.
❖ The book I had picked wasn't that interesting, but it was definitely getting the job done. Every once in a while I'd feel my eyelids become heavy and threaten to close. They'd end up shutting only to be sprung back open again. Thankfully, they eventually shut and didn't open again, signally I had fallen asleep.
❖ After my vision had faded to black, my eyes once again opened. For a moment, I thought I had reawoken. However, inspecting my surroundings to a minimal extent I realized that I was no longer in the comfort of my bed. Instead, I was in a large field of begonias. The colors were vibrant, and consisted of pinks, reds, oranges, yellows, and whites. In the distance I saw a bench with a dark blob on it. It was quite far away, so I couldn't make sense of what it was. I'd have to get closer in order to inspect it.
❖ I started to walk toward the bench, the begonias brushing against my legs. They reached up to around my knees, their height slightly varying. Every once in a while I'd find a wilted flower among the field, but more of them began to appear the closer I got to the bench. Once I was at least 30 feet within the bench and the 'blob', I quickly realized that it was Nightmare. I had a feeling that the begonias being the flower in the field wasn't a mistake, and neither was the many wilted ones.
❖ I creeped closer, an uneasy feeling sitting in the pit of my stomach. My face contorted, a cautious and fearful expression washing away my previous features. The closer I got, the more clear Nightmare had become. He was slumped over on the bench in a defeated manner. His facial expression held a pinch of annoyance, but mostly contained a confused and defeated look. His eyes glared down at the few remaining live begonias below his feet. As a few seconds of time passed, they eventually became withered just like the others around.
