Eliza looks at me shocked that we got Keira to talk. Keira’s just like me; she needs to feel safe and she speaks the truth about mostly everything. Dad is interrogating Hook with smackes on the table, the same trick I use to scare people into giving me the information. I make eye contact with Hook, just for one second, and he decides to talk.
After thirty minutes, we have just enough information to have a search in Mr. Gold’s Pawn Shop.
“What do you think made Hook decide to spill all of the info?” Eliza asks. I shrug and shake my head.
“Honestly, I have no clue. How about you go ask him. He might come up with something. You’re like me, you can tell when someone’s lying,” I suggest.
“Yeah, but if Rumple has his heart, doesn’t that mean that Rumple is telling him what to say, and he obeys it, without arguing? What would Rumple need Hook to do?” Eliza says.
“I dunno. Henry says that there’s a large feud going in between them ever since this ‘Milah’ had died. Henry also said that Rumple is using him to do his tracking work, to find his long-lost son, Baelfire,” I say, frowning, “I’m going to interrogate him.”
I walk out of my office and walk into the Interrogation Room, where Hook’s at.
“Dad, I got this,” I say as I walk in. Dad’s about to argue and I give him a please-I-really-wanna-do-this-alone look and he nods and walks out.
“Ask me anything, love,” Hook says, with a wink. I give him a dirty look.
“Tell me something about you and Rumple. Why did he rip your heart out of your chest? Why is he using you? What is it he wants?” I ask.
“Oh, this is about my Crocodile. Rumple, as you say, and I have this long feud, it all started way back with The Ogre Wars. He was a coward, and injured himself. My Milah wasn’t happy there, so she left, and went to the pub I was at,” Hook says matter-of-factly.
“Ok, why did he rip out your heart?” I ask, in a little too demanding voice.
Hook has a look of pain spread across his face, then his eyes turn a lighter shade of blue as he says, “Rumple needed me to do something. Love.” I frown, it was him saying it, but it wasn’t how he talks. Rumple was talking into his heart.
“Your Crocodile, what does he want?” I ask.
“Me to find someone. I need help though, from another person, not Keira,” Hook says, but he’s talking the same way, and his eyes are still the same lighter shade.
“What if I help you, Hook? Will he be happy with that?” I ask. His face goes back into pain and his eyes go the normal shade.
“I can’t let you do that, love. It’s… just too dangerous, working with my Crocodile,” Hook says, worriedly.
“Why not?” I demand.
“I told you love! Too dangerous. I didn’t come with the curse, and I can’t have one of the two infamous Saviors help me. Besides, I can do whatever Rumple wants, alone,” Hook says frowning.
“I don’t trust that you’ll do what Rumple wants,” I say, flatly.
“I will, because I don’t have a choice,” Hook says, a little sharply.
“Is the pirate getting an attitude? Looks like I’m coming with. Besides, I wanna see what Rumple wants you to do, exactly,” I say with a triumphant smile.
“Why?” Hook asks, glaring at me.
“I think I ask the questions here, pirate,” I say, getting up and walking to the door.
