I looked at the invite confused. Why am I invited to Jeffersons’ Bachelor Party? Liam is ready to leave, but I’m still utterly confused. He grabs my elbow and forces me to come, since Keira is gone at the Bachelorette Party.

Liam knocks on the door and Jefferson answers.

“You guys came! Common inside,” Jefferson says, his eyes lighting up, as if they weren't as bright as could be.

“So, this is the pirate and his brother you were thinking weren’t coming,” a pale man says. I look over at Liam, and I’m really spooked and scared, suddenly.

“Chill out guys, don’t try to scare Hook. Introduce yourselves,” Micah says.

“I’m Carlisle, accompanying me is Edward, Emmett, and Jasper,” the man named Carlisle explains.

“I’m Killigan Jones, also known as Captain Hook,” I say, “And this here is my brother, Captain von Trapp.”

“Well, everyone knows Dean and I. We’re Dwarves from Erebor,” Micah says cheerfully.

“I really don’t want That Pirate here, but since he was invited, I can try to be nice,” Charming says. I put my hand up to my heart, and look down and sigh, pretending to look hurt.

“Guys… Can’t we just get going?” Emmett asks. I look over at Charming, who looks over to Jefferson, who nods.

“Where’s our heading going to be?” I ask.

“Just follow me,” Jefferson says. I look at Liam, Dean and Micah, who easily follow Jefferson. I wait for everyone to pass me, and then I shut off the light and make sure to close the door.

I frown as we approach an area in the woods. There’s a box of ammo, ten guns on the leafy ground, and ten heavy jackets.

“I hope you know, a heavy jacket won’t stop, much less slow down a bullet..” I say, looking concerned for the safety of my own long life. I look over at Charming, whose eyes just lit up when I mentioned that. I put on my tough-guy look and roll my eyes at him, but on the inside, I’m utterly terrified.

“Don’t worry, it’s just paintballs. They splatter on the jacket, which can become very messy. I’m going to be one of The Captains, and Charming is going to be the other Captain,” Jefferson says.

“Oh my? I’m a Captain? Haha Hook, you’re no longer a Captain,” Charming taunts. I roll my eyes.

“Hook, you’re on my team,” Jefferson says. I blink at him and I walk over to his side, grabbing a jacket and a gun. I thought that I was going to be chosen last, especially with Jefferson and Charming as Captains of the Paintball Game.

“von Trapp, you’re on mine,” Charming says. I thought either him or another one was going to be in my spot, but I guess not.

“Emmett,” Jefferson says.

“Jasper,” Charming says.

“Dean,” Jefferson says.

“Micah,” Charming says.

“Carlisle,” Jefferson says.

“Edward,” Charming says.

I look at the team Jefferson picked. All of us probably had some sort of backstory with guns, I know I have one. Maybe we’re all good at combat, but I don’t know all of the guests completely. I don’t even necessarily know Dean and Micah, even though I’ve had two lunches with them.

“Follow me, team,” Jefferson says, proudly.

“Speaking of team, we need a Team Name,” I say.

“Do we really need that? It’s just a game, Hook,” Jefferson asks me skeptically, with a quizzical expression on his face.

“I suppose not..But, it could be very helpful. Just a game? This ‘game’ as you call it, is to show Charming that you are the man. You don’t want him to kick your butt, do you? But, what do I know of fighting to prove yourself, afterall I am just a pirate,” I say.

The other guys yell, “Do I smell smoke, cuz you get got burned!”

Jefferson scowls at them. Then gives me a challenging look.

“What, mate? I just pointed out the truth,” I say, with a look of ‘challenge accepted’.

Once we reached our base, Jefferson asks for my help to correlate an attack plan. I, of course, help, afterall, every ambush, defense, everything that we do, has to be planned. I may not be the best planner for one or two people, but I know how to plan things out for a whole group. Plus, I wanna prove to Charming and Liam and everyone who doubts me, that I can succeed at a group project.

“Hook, I’m going to have you be one of the people who attacks in the shadows. You’re good at that… Pretend you’re in actual combat, but you can’t use your hook or your sword, just a gun,” Jefferson says.

“Check. Anyone good at tracking? That could come in handy as well, for our team,” I say. Emmett looks confident. Okay. He’s definitely on The Attack Team. Jefferson spoke my mind about The Attack Team part.

Once our teams were figured out, I hear a boom from a paintball gun go off.

“Charming is ready. Are we?” I ask.

“You bet we are. Go ahead Killigan, fire your gun,” Emmett says and I do so.

The match has begun. I walk up to the perimeter of Charmings’ Territory, and in my position, behind a tree surrounded with cover for one man. I look past the tree, I see four members, just waiting get out: Micah, Jasper, Edward and Liam.

I aim my paintball gun at the four people and fire, hoping they don’t know what hit them. I hit Liam in the chest of his jacket, Micah in the shoulder, which means he’s not out yet, Jasper in the chest of his jacket and Edward in the chest. I hide behind the tree and bushes, where my cover is at, and I see him pass me, from where he heard the sound. I hear seven to eight shots. That’s either an overkill on Micah, or a really bad thing for my team. I take a deep breath as I get up, and I go to where I heard the shots at, just to see Micahs’ jacket splashed with a lot of different colors. A shot goes off from behind me. I stumble forward and fall on my hands and knees. There is only one person on the opposite team who isn’t out that I know of, and hopefully the members I got out aren’t cheating. That one and only person, who isn’t out yet, is Prince Charming.

“Well, well, well. The Pirate got caught, didn’t he?” Charming says laughing, mocking me that I got caught, yet again. I see two figures in the side. I smile and laugh, an almost victorious laugh. Charming glares at me, with confusion in his eyes, and shoots the chest area of my jacket and I fall down, losing my balance. I’m out, but hopefully a pirate helped a dwarf, and more importantly, the Groom of the Wedding. Emmett shows himself and shoots Charming in the back, which causes him to fall forward, as I did. Jefferson shoots his gun at the chest of Charmings’ jacket.

“Game is over! Everyone can get up now,” Jefferson shouts happily. I get up and everyone who was out meets back at where we chose the teams at. I unzip the heavy coat and place it in with the pile on the ground with many others. Jefferson has probably the happiest expressions I’ve seen him be, around me. We end up eating at Grannies after the two-hour game ended, laughing and joking.
